View Full Version : Quick Sperse

Well, I am having a problem wit my 04 BKO. When I fire, a quick sperse of air comes out of the noid area. I have tightened the noid veryh tight, with loctite, and everything. This only happens when I pull the trigger, and it is very quick. It is not bad, but when I start walking the trigger in dryfire, it practically goes down 300 PSI in like less then 5 secs. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a flow restriction which causes the noid to overpressurize when the HP gas goes to below a given level.
First you will want to check your ASA. If you have a on/off ASA make sure you screw it in until you hear the marker gas up. Once the marker gases up you will turn the on/off knob a half turn more. If you turn the on/off valve in to far it will restrict air flow and cause the marker to have a horrible recharge rate.
If you dont feel this is the issue then we need to look into the regs. You will want to tear down both the HPR and LPR. Clean and lube both regs.
Reinstall regs. Adjust HPR pressure to 275-300 psi.
Goto chrono and adjust your FPS with your LPR.
If this doesnt help give us a shout back.

Well, here's what a friend said, does it make sense?
When you fire the gun, after the bolt hits the valve, the solenoid switches over to exhaust air from the ram, so the ram can return. This air comes out right next to the noid (where that slit is on the bottom of your ram). I don't know if this is what you're observing or not, but it is possible. As far as the efficiency, 300 psi doesn't sound too bad for 5 seconds of dry firing. That's 50-75 shots (10-15 bps) which would yield 500-750 shots for 3000psi. That's not bad considering that guns consume more air when dry firing than when firing a paintball since ait can escape out the barrel more easily.

I completely misread your previous post.
I thought you were saying your gauge was falling off from 300 psi to 0 after firing the marker for 5 seconds.
As far as using 300 psi during dry firing that isnt uncommon at all.
The gas is vented out the noid like you friend described but I cant say that I have been able to hear it. Usually the sound of the marker cycling overrides the sound of the gas being vented.
I think you might have your LPR turned up just a touch to high which causes the gas to leak from your noid during rapid fire situations.
If the marker is working without issue then I would probably leave the marker alone until you hear a constant leak from the noid. If this does occur you can try backin out the LPR a touch and you should take care of the noid leak issue. This may also be the cure for your present leak you hear during rapid fire.

Yeah, thx, actually I don't hear it at all, it is just when the marker is apart, i can feel it if i put my hand around the noid. So your right. New problem though, I am not sure if I have roll back, do me a favor, and plz look at these pics, and tell me if I have roll back. And if I do, what can I do to prevent it,

could you get some better pics? this time put one ball in the breech lean the gun back (so it rolls back and stops against the bolt) and then take the pic (in focus)

Are these pictures from taken from above the feed neck or from the barrel end of the marker.
If they are taken from the feed neck you dont have roll back but you have a issue with the bolt not recocking all the way.
The bolt shouldnt be visable when the marker is cocked.
