Initial Setup

Hi all. I'm thinking about ordering an intimidator soon (prolly this summer from County). Whats a good initial setup? I already have a crossfire 68/3000 preset (high) so I know i'll need a regulator. What kind of gauges do i need, should I get another barrel besides stock, and what drop forwards work well? I'd like to order everything from County so I can get it in one shot. Anyways, thanks for any help.

I am just going to list some good items for your timmy. I am sure County will have most if not all I list.
Well, a good starting regulator is the Air America Vigilante. It is inexspensive and gives somewhat good consistancy. Twitch had one. Ask him about it. Or, if you have the money, a Mac Dev Gladiator Reg. I have one. I like it, just gotta keep it nice and lubed. Bob Long's Reg, the Center Flag Reg with LP spring and the AKA Sidewinder are all other great regs.
Some gauges to get are the Dye Micro gauges or Smart Parts Ashcroft Gauges(which I have) in (if lp mod, i assume since you want an inline reg) 100psi and 300psi. Or anything around 700 and below will work too.
A lot of us find the stock barrel is nice for a while. CP Barrels are nice, or the Freak or Equation.(all look good on Intimidators) I would suggest the Equation since you can buy once piece at a time and move up. Or the Bizerk Barrel system(a mini-equation barrel) which is only in an 8in length.
A good beginning drop is the Psyco Ballistics Drop Forward. The anno looks similar if not almost the same on the stock Intimidator anno jobs. KAPP Drop Zone 2's are nice but fairly exspensive. And you will need an asa adapter to put in it or on the tank.

Thanks a lot for the info, I read a lot about the possible one can do to a timmy, but wasnt sure what i needed to get going.

Anyways, I took a look at some of the barrels you mentioned. I kinda like the Biserk. I like that its only 8". Anyone have this barrel and does it work well for the timmy? I like to play mid to front so this seems like a good deal. It also comes with 3 inserts, which ones would be the best to start out with?

after the regulator and drop i would get a delrin bolt, and a low rise, the hopper hovers over the marker alot, bigger target... I am not sure where to get the low rise, i am actually looking for one right now. Another good idea is juts doing the LP mod.
