If i bought a used impulse which im debating, if i was to get extensive milling done, and the weight reduction on the body, (stock body) could i have a potentially light gun. When I say light i mean close to a shocker. Although that might be imp possible. Also what other weight reduction processes can be done?

Not really.
I've compared the following bodies to each other:
Strange Impulse
Rat Impulse
EPM's Slipstream Milling
Tarantula's DB Milling
Guess what? They are all pretty much weigh the same.
If you want to know how much in weight savings from the above bodies over stock...get a hold of 15 American quarters. That's about how much weight you save in a milled body over a stock Impulse. It's really not alot...approximately 4-6 ounces only.
You may want to consider getting either an AIM Frame of I-Frame as well, which moves your handgrip forward. This helps alot with the gun's balance, making it feel lighter as well.

Thanks mini. Im probably going to end up get either a new body or get it milled. Plus an equilizer board. Lastly that 90 degree frame you referred to.

my impulse= 2lbs, 4ozs without barrel or bottomline. a shocker is 1lb 12ozs, so my gun is 8 ozs heavier than a shocker, or a half pound. but to me, it feels incredible light and balanced. if i use a hyper 2 reg, it's down to 2lbs flat.
i had a superlite milling package from eliapaintball.com with about all of the features he offers, for $170. that reduced the body weight by 7ozs. i also use the lightest internals, and have done some custom work to lighten up my lpr kit.
with a significant amount of time, as well as money, you can make an impulse very light. however if weight is your primary interest, there are far better options out there that wouldn't require spending $200 and countless hours doing work on them.
but i will say, it is worth it just to see the expression on people's faces when they pick up my impulse and start flipping it around with their mouth open, amazed at how light and well balanced it is. hah and they haven't even shot it yet :badboy:
