when i played woodsball today, it seemed like everyone just sat around in bunkers. me and a couple other people were the only ones that would actually moved. of coarse we got out sooner than the rest because there was almost no cover and we tried to flank them. how do you get those retards from not sitting?

The last outlaw field I went to that was closed down in Florida was alot like that. Only it had a huge hill and a no mans land. Sometimes I could make it to thier hill before they knew I was coming around it, and I would take out two or three people. Some of the players would think I cheated for getting in that position so fast without any of them seeing me. Then the next game they would start outside the starting box already in thier bunkers.

But yeah, shoot them if they don't move, otherwise they don't go anywhere. Woodsball generally has more campers, so you may try airball if you want more fluid action.

Sounds like your team has no tactics or communication. You should have one player just put paint on them whilst you go around. 9 times out of 10 they'll be so concerned with the pounding of their little bunker that you'll be able to whiz right by them.

To be honest, I stopped caring about campers a long time ago. The only real problem I have is getting shot in the back by some idiot camping.

The first time I ever played, someone did that to me. After that I started moving, I figured out "Hey, just because two balls hit my bunker doesn't mean I'll get shot! You can actually move!"

It works.

my worst case of campers was with a church youth group. we were on a big speedball course and most of them were all in the back. one girl followed me on the left and shot me in the back. "sorry, i'm just trying to help!" i wiped it* and kept playing, eventually mowing down half the team until i was at their second row of bunkers. my team was still in the back, trying to shoot me because they don't know that if a guy has his back to you and is shooting in the same direction you are, he's probably on your team. so they bounced a couple off my back as i screamed "i'm on your team" over and over.

*don't lecture me about wiping. eliminations are based on being beaten by your opponent, not screw ups by your own team.

Here is some advice. Stay away from
#1 Kids while playing.
#2 stay away from the churchys, they don't like to get "down and dirty".
#3 Shot thier arses.

My team (of about 15-20) were nestled behind a ton of bunkers for about 10 minutes for a mission. We had to move up and the leader said he would shoot us if we stayed behind. It is pretty effective too. One thing I hate is people who follow you, but stay behind like 20 feet. As the game was coming to a close, I decided to go off by myself. 2 of my team mates decided to come along but stayed back really far. I really did not see the point of them coming if they were back that far. If I was taking firing they would be useless because they couldn't see the enemy.

When I played on Saturday, it seemed like I was the only one of my friends that really moved up. Every game I got past the 50, and most of the time to their starting point. Like everyone else said, scare them by saying you'll shoot them if they don't help and move up.

ohh i hate it when this happens. I was really pissed about it. Here's how it went: Me and my friend and my bro went to play speedball. We played with 4 other people. 2 had rentals and just came for fun. The other 2 had ions and imps. they went more often. Well i played with my bro (who thinks he's good but sucks he just sits in the back all scared), then there were the other 2 with rentals. The other team was the imp guy, ion guy, and my friend which are all good players. So im like were going to get wrecked. The whole night the teams stayed the same. Well anyway i was the only one who moved up. And believe me did i get shots on my bunker but as soon as they would stop for a second i would snap shoot to put em back in their bunker. The whole night went like this. My teammates in the back. The only time someone actually helped was my bro when he got the guy with the ion out. Then i got the imp guy out in the snake on a snapshot, then went on to finish the game and bunkered my friend. Now the second last game we changed the teams around. It was my friend, the ion guy, and me. vs imp guy and my bro and other 2 noobs. Well lets just say the game ended in 30secs. I went on to bunker 2 noobs and shot other guys out. i went to the snake while my good teammates gave me decent cover fire unlike my last team...

well what really pisses me off is that we now made a team. my friend, imp guy, ion guy, and me. But the thing i hate is that they weren't sure about me. They actually had to ask my friend if i was decent enough. He obviously answered yes because he knows how i play. They do not thats why i got mad. How do you expect me to play well with the team i had?

Well at least it was a good night of practice for me playing with those team setups. And i held them off pretty well. I never got bunkered the whole night and i personally think that they should have finished the games much faster. But as i said that is what pisses me off. They couldnt tell if i was good or not because of how i performed. At least if that was my best i had i wouldnt have had a problem, but it wasnt my best. So i do have a problem.

Honestly, the last time I was out I was eliminated by my own team 3 times. Those were the only 3 times I was eliminated that day. Each time, it was in the back too, I wasn't even facing the same direction of the other team. There are two things that really irritate me in paintball, getting over shot when I am walking off the field and getting shot out by my own team.

I'm sorry to bash your view on campers, but camping in paintball is nothing like a video game. I like to think of it as in you should be good enough toget past these sitting ducks. You can't blame everything on them for you getting yourself out.

As for getting eliminated by your own team that's an lol. It happens to everyone.:laugh:

do you think you would be able to win against guys that are good and don't stay in the back when you have a team full of sitters? No because you are going to get flanked because your teammates aren't doing anything. Or your going to get eliminated because your team doesn't give any cover fire and you can't even stick your head out for one friggin second because the other team has nothing to worry about because no one is shooting at them. You can't make a move or anything.

After playing most of the day on a church trip, and friend and I decided to split a case. We played on game and returned to the station: other players in our groups had emptied our entire case!

To make things worse, they all denied it. I asked to look in there hoppers, and lo and behold, they had the same paint we had just bought (the group as a whole bought a different brand). No one ever confessed to taking some. What would Jesus do? Steal your paintballs and shoot you in the grille apparently.
