Knee pads usually work for such a thing. I use proto 05 knee pads and I love them. The proto 05 pants are also great with knee/shin padding. I wear Dye C4's and it's pretty much the same padding. Works great. The combination of proto pads and pants are great for protection.

What is really easy to do is to take a piece of thin plastic (Like from a liquid clothes washing detergent bottle like tide) that is bigger than your knee... Then Take 2 pieces of jean clothing that are slightly bigger... Then Sew the 2 pieces together with the plastic in the middle and then sew on your pants...
Really great and reduced any bruising.
Or just use a rollerblade kneepad :D

Yea, I dont use pads. Never has bothered me. Half the time if your knees hurt from a slide, your sliding wrong. Try like, kneeling in a run and slidng, instead of jumping and sliding.

I have bad joints, so I use the Dye C4 knee pads, and the Proto 04 elbow pads.
But the past couple of months, I've gotten more comfortable not using knee pads. If I know that I'm going to be going snake side or that I'm going to need to superman dive, I'll wear them. If not, I keep them off.

Yeah definantly get some pads, I get the feeling Lopez or someone is gonna come in here and tell you guys how important taking care of your body is especially thinking ahead for your body into the future, all it takes is 1'' left or right and you tear your miniscus, guys dont take any chances with your health, Just cause you dont wear pads one day your gonna hurt yourself and never be able to play pball again no dont you want to avoid that, i know i do. You wouldnt play paintball with out a mask would you, well this is the same idea, protect yourselves guys its worth it.

GET PADS for the love of god it will be so worth it. Your knees won't ever get hurt, and you'll get added bounces, there is no disadvantage to pads.

Where I played, it had astro turf that was kind of greesy because of the paintballs, it was so slippery and soft you could slide across it naked, it was aweosme.

I wear Proto knee pads and they are very nice. I really can't play without them, it just doesn't seem right. Very comfortable, well worth the money.

I personally favor them to protect my legs. The pair I wear is a "old style" of AP pants, but I wear a newer pair as well and they work great. Pair them with some redz pads and your in great shape.
If they dont have your size e-mail Mondo or Rosey and they can custom trim a pair to your size for no extra cost.

lol me too. i need to get better traction for my shoes. off th break i just slip and slide to my bunker sometimes. But its fun lol and GREAT for sliding you could slide 10ft without trying. i love it. You just gotta learn how to run on it without slipping. now im ok.

Check the reviews. I"m not 100% sure, but I think they have the same amount of padding but the C5 cover more across.

:agree:
My left knee has 3 scars (one which is there for life) & my right has one fading scar. My knees can't take much more. Found a pair of Dye 03 pads for $25.

I never slide. If I were to slide, I just stick my right foot in front of me, kneel down, and put the left foot under your butt, jump, and you have a safe slider.
Got my left knee scard from sliding over a small rock (and its not gonna heal anytime soon), but now I got some pads so I don't have to worry about it. And like cocker kid 2k2 said, "you get add bounces". So wearing pads is a wise choice.
