Need help in choosing paintball gun. me = 1st timer

I've never went paintball shooting yet...always wanted to go since I was little. I'm planning to go right after graduations with my friends from school before we go onto college. I need help in finding like a decent gun with mask and whatever at the price equal to $300 or less. I don't feel like renting the stuff they have there. Know any good sites to buy stuff for a reasonable price? Any help is appreciated ^_^x

I'd say tippman 98 custom. Very nice trigger pull, nice feel, upgradable, and resonably priced. And hey, its a Tippmann, legendary for its reliability.

keep in mind all of this stuff is BRAND new the gun in the OG Box with manual Parts kit... I am selling it like i said because i already have a gun (2001 Autococker, looking for a minimag or another cocker) and the piranha is just sitting here... I wont it at a contest that iiSports was having... This gun has gotten alot of good reviews on this site... Nevermind i know what an elbow is...anyway is the Spyder TL Plus good? If it is I might get that package listed in the 2nd one and it has free shipping too.

uh similar... looks sorta... but there are a lil more upgraded parts to G2 STS like the ram air chamber... just parts for better shooting and accuracy... but its cool up to you... ? personally the TL is a nice gun... but if you are gonna go with a spyder TL good for entry level players, but personally as you like paintball and get better your gonna want a newer gun, the g2 STS is gonna keep you going til you start getting into more and more rec play... hey maybe even some Field tourneys (nothing big) I just want to get rid of the package... like i said in the package you are getting it has almost everything i am offering yes... but I have some more stuff like 2 Hoppers 2 Elbows 2000 Paintballs... not 200... ;) and a gun bag... plus squege which i forgot to mention... ? but if anyone else is ready and intrested let me know... thanks...

Get player package 3 for the spyder tl+. My friend has the gun, and for what you are paying it kicks ***. That package sells for 240. It comes with a 9v Revolution ($40), a spare parts kit($15), a nice V-Force mask, a 20oz CO2 canister.


Either that or look in the paper for a cheap auto-mag like me.

You know Volt ... If I were getting ready to buy my first gun, I'd consider the new G3 Piranhas ... they're not too expensive, good features and Piranha has a reputation of making dependable markers that shoot great out of the box and that are very easy to maintain.
