i'm sorry for asking a stupid question, but what does recoil mean?

re·coil
-To spring back, as upon firing

Basically it's how much your gun moves after it is fired. The more recoil you have, the less accurate your shots tend to be.

"kick" is a more common term in paintball than recoil.

Despite what certain persons say, every paintball gun has kick. Obviously, some have more that others...like my old omen...:dodgy:

Drew, what are you talking about....

When you pull the trigger, the gun usually snaps back, or moves. You can really see it in the old Tippmann Pro-Carbines or the M98s.

Drew said recoil "gives you feedback". I asked if he was talking about blowback.

Recoil is a lame excuse for inaccuracy.

Tis be why I asked Drew what he was talking about. I think he got "feedback" and blowback confused.

Yeah, it is. Especially when people complain that their 15bps is causing their gun to rise or something, whatever. If they knew how to shoot in the first place, it wouldn't be a problem.
