I want to get plenty of shots and I want a nice, but affordable tank. A lot of people at my field have PMI tanks so they would be easy to fix. Everyone tells me crossfire is better. What is the big defference? Is the centerflag reg THAT much better than the pure energy? I want a good tank that will work nicely on the impulse. Sorry for all the lame tank and blade questions lately. Thanks

Impy, Thank you! This will allow me to pull my soapbox out and spout alittle.
I'll be the first to tell you guys, "I've got a Prime Rib appetite, With a cheese burger wallet!" Ok what I mean by this is, I like/ want all the good stuff, but my budget sometimes keeps me from getting it. So I need to decide is it worth the money?, is it worth the wait?
Ok Impy here is how I see this with these tanks, You said "alot of people" got PMI's at the field that you play at, making it easier to fix. I had a 88ci/3000 Pure Energy tank (like alot of people do) because they are inexpensive. That's why alot people eat at McDonalds it doesn't cost alot, and it fills ya up! PMI is alot like that. They will do the job, But it ain't Prime Rib!
As far as fixing goes, There ain't alot of fixing to any tank (other than maybe a burst valve)a tank is a tank, Now granted there're fiber and steel and what not. But when it really comes right down to it, what you should care about is the reg.
PMI vs Centerflag presets?, Hamburger vs Steaks! FOM will tell ya the Centerflag recoverery is faster and more consistant which will help eliminate shootdown. The last thing ya wanna do is starve your Imp of air. If it were my choice I'd save my money until I could afford the Centerflag, Hey just eat at Mickey D's for awhile and save up bro, starve yourself! but feed your Imp

im very happy with my centerflag tank, i get no shootdown at all when wailin on my trigger, its pretty consistant too . . . i would go with the centerflag. (even though it sounds as though you already decided that ;) )
On a Stock Impulse, there is no pratical diffreence. Start moding and running at the super low pressures an Impulse can run- the air flow demands fo up, and the Center flag becomes more of a neccessaty.
But it on a differnt gun (Tippmann RT, or shocker) and you almost HAVE to have the Center Flag.

(yes it realy is Fat Old Man- thanks to full time son)
