After you pull the trigger, pneumatics push a rod on your trigger to return it to the at rest position quickly. It allows for a higher rate of fire by taking most of the forward time out of the trigger pull.

All you do is pull back and it quickly pushes back forward, so you don't need to release the trigger. You just hold the right amount of pressure on it, and it keeps firing.
