I can't believe I just wasted $15 on this ****ty paint. There's a friggin noticeable gap between the paintball and barrel (Tippy 98 stock barrel). At least I got 500 of them. When I get my Bigshot, I'm gunna throw in 2000 marbalizers.

Yeah... BE is not the best paint out there. What's the bore size on your bigshot? I'm not too familiar with that barrel. If it's not under .690 (a medium bore size) then I might try and find another paint otherwise marbs are great. I've heard good stuff about the JT paintballs too. But they are both small bore paint.

Right now I'm using a *cry* stock M98C barrel. At least it's polished. I don't have the Lapco yet, but I'll be upgrading soon. Besides marbs, what paint would you recommend? PMI? That stuff's 45 bucks and has good reviews... also, where would you recommend that I buy them from (paintballs)?

PMI premiums arn't too bad. I live about 15 minutes from a place called Professional Paintball, the home of Team Lockout! That's where I buy my paint from. If you don't have a store like that around you then try an internet store like 888paintball.com or paintballonline.com. I think ****'s Sporting Goods stores have PMI's and Marbs so look there. Maybe K-Mart or Walmart but then you might just find more BE products there:( .

I bought my marker and accessories from 888. They don't have a large selection of paint, just some zap crap and some 32 degrees stuff. I got the BE at Sports Authority, I figured 500 for $15 would be good, but I guess my CO2 tank being filled caused some weird chemical reaction in my brain :p BTW... that place has the proteus for $40 w/ thermal lense. I'm gunna go check it out now :)

i would recommend gettin paintballs at a local pb store. If you get them at places like sports autority or wal-mart then there is a greater chance of the balls being old and dimpled or maybe even a broken ball. If you get them from the internet then you don't know if they are good or bad and they can be damaged during shipping.

The Lapco Bigshot will shoot any paintball well. The bore size is .689 so you will definately want to shoot PMI Premium and 32* Team Colors. Those two paintballs will work the best in that barrel. If you want to shoot marbalizers then you should get the Lapco Autospirit with a .687 bore size. The Lapco Autospirit will have the same great accuracy as the bigshot and will shoot the marbalizers better since marbs are small bore.

i bet even BE, with the right paint/barrel match could shoot well...
the problem with the paint that they offer is that it is mass produced, they probly make more premium brass than marbs! and even if they don't look at the places that you buy them in! wal-mart and sports authority staff obviously do not know how to take care of or handle paint, taht's why you end up with broken balls. mishaped balls and dimples are one of the problems, and usually the balls sit on the rack for atleast a week, making it old and too brittle.
it's the truth. i bet a fresh, nice batch of BE would shoot like a dream (if you had a big *** bore barrel to match it :) )

I know BE is rich. Eventhough they make crap

Ya, BE paint is unreliable. There paint can have been sitting on the shelf for months, possibly years(since no one buys it). Most paint brands take their paint off of the shelf after a set amount of time. So you can get good batches and bad batches.

BE paint is for begining players anyway. Or more people that need paint fast.

If BE even breaks in a sling-shot you know it is bad paint.

I think BE is fine if your useing to test a gun or target practice because it is easy to find.

BE paint may not be the best out there, but its good of your just a backyard player. Its really not that bad as some people make it out to be. I don't suggest it for tourneys or bringin it to fields. For weekend warrior players its fine.

how did BE paint get a rating of 7.0 and 7.4???
it is the worst paint i have ever seen. my friend bought some of it , and it broke 80% of the time!!!! one of the times he shot 20 in a row and they all broke, it was during winter with lots of snow and he was shooting in the same direction so there was like a yellow tinted line about 10 feet long in the snow ehhehehehe
they sucked so much 10% in the jar (LOL) were broken, and if you dropped em on the ground (even the carpet) they broke. and a lot broke in his hopper. his gun literally had paint oozing out of the powerfeed and the end of the barrel after shooting a hopper of BE......

BE's quality control is horrible. out of every 200 of them you buy:
50 will be dimpled
75 will have a flat spot on them from where they were pressed up against the side of those plastic containers
40 will be in pretty good condition- these are probably the ones in the center of the container
30 will be eggshaped
10 will be broken, just to make things interesting

BE paint shoots fine through my gun, just barely any breaks. ALWAYS ask the clerk to open the box to make sure none are broken, if they aren't, you got a good batch.
