I'm trying to decide which size pack to get.

So i'm wondering how many pods all of you usually carry onto the field in a speedball/tournament situation.

Im deciding between a 3V and a 4V Jacko pack. With that pack i can always get the x-loops to add some extra places for pods just in case. Right now i am leaning more towards the 3V.

how much paint do you use in a game? Answer that one, and then decide what kinda pack to get.

Personally, I want an Extreme Rage 4+3.

i use an extreme rage 4v half paq with 4 JT slammer pods in it . . . just the right amount of paint for me. i usually only go through like my hopper or my hopper and 1 pod so i dont always wear the pack (just more of a target)

jt slam pack is good, i love the dye attack pack (4 pods) works really well and it can take any size pods 100-140 ect no need to worry about it getting in your way if the pods are too long.

Right now I have an Extreme Rage 2 pod pack, which with my Spyder I shot maybe 1 hopper and one pod a game. But since I got my cocker I've naturally been shooting more, so I'm looking at 3 pod packs at the moment.

I would suggest a 4 pack, good number for back players as well as front, and if you add 3 more loops to it you've got a massive pack for a back player.

4 all the way!

I've got a JT pack and four JT pods, but when I'm playing back, it ain't enough. Sometimes I play with tourney players, and I'm usually playing back or mid, and I've zipped through the hopper and all four pods hella quick before.

It's more than enough paint, though, when I'm playing straight rec ball. Still, even though I like the JT system, the speed collar that mounts on the hopper can present more of a target than a regular revvy.

I guess it all boils down to personal preference.

im using a Ronin gear 5 tube harness. 3 velcro and 2 are that nylon strechy stuff. The harness it self is so comfortable and ive never run out of paint.

I use a Dye 4 pod attack pack. I just can't carry any more than 4 140 round pods at any one time, its too bulky for me, but then again I play in the front, so I try to keep a low profile. I like the attack pack, its really comfortable and it looks nice too :wink2: Even with a full load of 520 rounds it doesn't move around and has a very secure fit, and is very comfortable thanks to the little pillow for your back.

The RedZ Dimension packs are really nice too. The cool thing is that you can but 1 comfort belt and like 2 packs for it at a fraction of what getting two "complete" packs would cost you. They're also comfy too

i use the redz 3+2 dimension- it has enough loops to hold the paint i use- 1 or 2 tubes for front, more for mid( i can't stand playing back)

I use the JT Slammer pack .. great for a front/mid player.. I use four 120rnd speedpods.. I think I may get one or two 150rnd extrentions though, because when you really go through paint, and shoot almost your whole hopper, youll want a 150rnd pod instead of a 120rnd one... but 120 is almost always a perfect number for reloading

Well, I finally cracked and bought myself a pack. Even if it is just for the scenario game in Madison GA in a month. Oh well, it'll be useful afterwards too. I went with a JT Alpha pack, it's all I'm really gonna need, and I don't shoot much, it's just nice to have balls along for a long haul in the woods. Carries two 100 round tubes comfortably and is very lightweight. Yes, you can get these at wal-mart, but it's JT and very well made, not to mention comfortable.

currently i carry 4 150rnd pods but since i am moving to the front i need something lighter so i am probably going to go with a redz dimension pack

I'm reversing direction from my last post. I'm seriously leaning toward buying an Extreme Rage or Redz 4+3 Pack and seven 150 round tubes.

When I play back, I need lots of paint. That pack/pod configuration would give me about 1,300 rounds, which would be better for a back player. Plus, I'd still be able to carry smaller amounts for rec games.

I do like my JT pack, pods and collar, and I would not try to discourage someone from buying them cause they work hella good together.

Ronin 3+2 Stealth pack

I generally carry only three pods, but I have the option to carry two more in the loops.

I have an Extreme Rage 3+2 at the moment but I hate the loop things. So I'm getting a Ronin Gear 5 pod Deluxe Slammer pack. I usaully use all my pods when I play tournys but for rec I leave my pack on the side lines or in the dead box.

I am a front player and i carry 300 extra rounds, shooting the 200 hundered in my hopper and useing 1-2 pods. 300 hundered is good for me.

these are great harnesses!

i have a 4 vertical Extreme Rage pack, and it actually holds more paint than i usually buy or use in a game.

i have Dye Attack pods though, and those are 150 balls each. going to the field with a hopper full of balls, and all my pods full, i am carrying approx. 800 balls!

that's enough for me.
