Would it be a good idea to trade my ion for an impulsew/ an ndz trigger and twistlock feedneck? I dont know a thing about impulses.

No. Stickies, that gun is pretty worthless right now. If you want to spend 100's of dollars on upgrades it will be better than an Ion, but right now its crap.
