OK, I've decided on steelbraided line. I'm also getting an AA Vigilante reg. Now, I want to get rid of the Kingman reg and ASA and crap altogether and mount a CP lightning Drop and an ASA. The weird holes are no problem since I have a Storm frame. Now, I'll need some form of ASA and a some fittings. Question is, which ASA (I'd like a blue one) has the proper fittings in place for Steel braided line? I know I'll need 3 elbows (one to attach to ASA, one to attach to reg, one for the gauge to attach to the reg)
Question is, what kind of fittings should I buy? If I buy, say the lapco duckbill ASA and mount it on my Lightning drop, do I need to buy Mike's Lapco reducer? This thingy right here?

Or do I just need to buy the drop, any ol' ASA, the steel braided line and the three elbows and then I'm done? I assume I want all 90* elbows, right?

Thanks guys.

Eb, From what I've read, and the little I know. You should only need two 90 degree elbows one to attach to ASA, one to attach to reg. The gauge that attaches to the reg is 1/8 threaded and will screw right in without needing an elbow (unless you want it to thread perpendicular to the reg?)
Any quality asa should have threads on both sides for the hose line. You will have to buy a 1/8th threaded plug( again the good ones should even come with this, or take it off the reg where your gauge will go!) to fill in which ever side doesn't get the hose.
That's it, as I see it bro~ Groove on! :D ~KK

Yep, just a word of advice though. It will be slightly more costly, but save you alot of time and frustration in the long run. If you are going to be using stainless steel hose, be sure and buy a quickdisconnect for it. If you go to your shop they should have them, or even checking online you should be able to figure out what you need. I only say this, because I used a vigi and in order to do regular maintenance, you will need to unscrew the regulator from the vertical adapter. To do this, you need to disconnect your hose. Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting your house is a bit of a pain in the asz to say the least, so a quick disconnect will allow you to take your stuff apart with ease. On a side note, I believe the term for the threading on all hose fittings is refered to as 3/8th NPT , but I may be wrong
