Just talking with him, said he when he got on it said he was IP banned from the admin. I know you can be banned without warning or anything but what did he do? Is this some kind of error?

Have him get his IP address and please PM it to me. I'll make sure the other mods see it so we can figure out which of the PBN tools we banned are similar to his.

He said he can PM people but can't see threads.

What the? I can post? This is new to me. A few minutes ago, whenever I looked at a thread, it said I was IP banned. Yay!

Sometimes, it still says that I'm IP banned when I look at threads/try to post. Lopez, I'll work on getting my IP.

I am IP banned as well. Don't know how it happened, but yeah. I can't get into OT or another forum that doesn't exist but yet we still talk about...;)

www.spondoo.com

tells you your ip instantly;)

Yeah.... or www.whatismyip.com

But anyways, I can get into most forums/threads, except for the OT thread in BobLong, and a few other random ones.

it also depends on what links I use. If I use the (pbreview.com forums/general forums/etc...) on the bottom, it doesn't work. But if I use the dropdown bar, it does.

And when I try to edit this into the post above this, it won't work.

You two probably both have Dial-up, right?

On dial-up, you get a new IP every time you login. Chances are some of the PBN guys that got banned live near you and have the same ISP.

Yeah. But it's very annoying.

Impossible to fix, though, unless they could ban Windows CD-keys/identification numbers or certain MAC addresses. If you find yourself banned, just log off the modem and redial in again, then you should be set.

My heart skipped a beat when it said I was IP banned, I guess I have to stay logged out until I want to respond to something:|

PeYToN~SS is also having that problem with.

He's getting this message:
Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here.

I've tried that, too. Hell, I was in a whole different state when this started and I'm back home now and it's still happening.

Goody! Let's do a reverse directory look-up so I can go say hello...:badboy: :atten:

I'm still having the same problem. Any way to fix it at all? It's hard to be a mod when you're IP banned...:|

Depending on your ISP, you may be able to check on their website to see how to use the proxy connection they supply. Proxy should allow you to change your IP on command... I've never done it though, so you'll have to look it up.

It MAY have to do with running cmd and ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew , but don't take my word for it.

Okay, so whatever the problem was, I'm not having it anymore.
Yayz!

I'm still having the problem. It seems that randomly it stops working on me.
