i am prob getting an egg for my gun, but i have read that sometimes electric hoppers dont matter due to the setup of the elbow on the tippmanns. would i need to get a direct feed or would it b just fine as it is right now?

I have the exact same question, however every 98c I have seen doesnt have a direct feed and has somethingl ike a VL revvy. I am also interested in getting an egg 2 but I want to know if its overkill, my thinkin is if it can slow down to 13 bps like I read I think that is still maybe a bit fast but I like the fact that when you turn the egg off no balls can make it to your marker. Maybe some people would like that but if you are low on paint and need to scare them by dry firing, all you need to do is turn the egg off and on. Seems like maybe a low chance of happening... maybe, however it has happened to me before when I was using my a-5. And yes people, I sold my a-5 and got a 98c.

Thanks, didnt want to make a new thread about this. I am basically deciding revvy or egg 2 for the feature above, and do I need a direct feed as devilnevel is asking also. Thanks.

when i had my tippy and egg2 never had a problem with the elbow, but i would say that getting a straight feed would probablt work better. unlees your gun has an e grip i wouldnt by a new feedneck.

buy an egg. yes and overkill now, but it will be good for when you buy s better faster marker.

an egg is not overkill in this sense because i am getting the e-grip and it fires up to 17 bps. the egg feeds up to 19 bos, so it should work out good. but i didnt kno if its pointless to get the egg due to the setup of the elbow. i dont want to get centerfeed cuz i dont want to send my gun in.

The regular EGrip now shoots 15-17 I believe, there is supposedly in a month or less suppose to be a WAS EGrip which can make it up to 30 balls per second! That is pretty fast..

It is rumoured coming out, I am not sure if it will acutally will..

On the pro E, Pro Basic, and 98c the elbow restricts the feed to 13 bps or so, making anything above the apache overkill.

the remedy for that however is a vertical feed elbow.

As for the a5...don't worry about the elbows of a5's

As far as i know the was board is only coming out for the A5, down the road it may come out for the custom Pro E

and with ought a properly set up JCS trigger on an a5 i wouldn't worry about getting up to the higher R0f's without ramping.

You should try to get a vertical feed for youi tippman. And hope you get your egrip back soon. Really i think that you should stop uping your gun, and give mee a chance.

the WAS is already out for the custom pro and a-5.the stock a5 egrip can go 17 but im not sure on the custom pro's.

the egg would be fine for the pro.
