OK, I've seen quite a few talon mod threads, and I am SURE that there are many talon owners out there. Specter, your mod questions are answered in here. In response to this, I have made this informational thread.
So here goes the mods I have done:
1.) Barrel mod:
Materials needed: Talon, A barrel you don’t use, index card/stiff paper, electrical tape.

This is really easy. Take an index card or stiff paper and cut a 3x6' strip. Now you are going to make a sleeve. Take your talon and your piece of paper; start to wrap the paper around the last 3/4' of the talons barrel. (NOTE: make a slight cone shape with the paper sleeve, with the smaller end being on the end of the talons barrel. You will want to make two wraps with the paper as well.) Then tape the papers' seams shut, and tape the paper to the talon. Next, take your dust-laden barrel and insert it into the sleeve. (You may need to screw it in just like you would with the gun it came from.) Once barrel is in sleeve, tape well. (NOTE: do not make the first few wraps of the tape super tight, that may shift the position of the barrel causing a massive headache due to ball breaks which WILL NOT shoot clean. You must now take the whole thing apart you lucky dog:)) Then, my friend, you are done. Now go shoot one of your friends with a $2k gun with your talon that cost you one percent the cost of his gun.

2.) Scope: not much to say here. But if you need to ask how to do this one, you have no business with a paintball gun, or sharp objects for that matter.

OK, now for the ones I am thinking of doing, that I did not see on any web sites, or in the pic thread:

Assault style pump arm:
Materials needed: Handle from a painting roller, preferably one with molded finger groove thingies. Or anything else you might have handy. super glue, electrical tape. and of course, a talon.
Take your painting roller, and separate the handle from the roller. Then take the handle or whatever you have and with some super glue, tape, and a little Mac Guyver know-how, attach the handle to the pump arm solidly, (in a vertical postion in the middle of the pump arm.) and you are done.

Double Trigger:
Materials needed: talon, plastic double trigger, super glue, hack saw blade, or anything you can use to cut through the trigger guard.

Study the movement of your trigger. See how far it goes back when fully depressed? Good. Now mark that spot. Now if you look on the side of the trigger guard that is attached to the grip, (Assuming you have a talon ghost. If not, you're on your own.) see where the trigger guard turns to solid plastic; just ahead of the hollow cavity in the grip. Cut in front of the hollow, so when you’re done, there is no hole dirt can get in from. Then cut the other end of the trigger guard (The vertical part) in the same fashion. Ok, now that the trigger guard is off we can put the double trigger on. Take the double trigger, remove any springs metal pieces, ect. (<--M98 double trigger owners, this is you) File away slowly the back end and top of the double trigger, until the backside of the index finger position on the D.T., will fit flush with the front side of the trigger on your talon. Also, the only thing that should be left of the D.T. are the finger grooves. Take off/file off all the atachment parts and excess plastic. Then put some glue on the back of the double trigger, and press onto the front of the talon trigger, and let dry.

(I think if you do the assault pump arm, and the DT, you might be able to get like two-three BPS, depending on how quick you are.)

I have no pics of the last two mods because I haven’t done them yet. I am not sure if I am, I like the way my talon looks now, it's simple and clean. But...if I ever get bored............

I hope this helps you guys with some ideas. Have fun,
Mimos

also,to get a raise in velocity(NOTE:this is a permanant unreverrsable mod unless you have more valve caps(the gun not the power tube screws into)use a fine grit sandpaper or emerycloth and polish down the valve vap a little at a time until you get to where its pushing the powertube bakc ont he shot tog et the velocity you want, may also want to try different valve springs

What is the normal velocity on a talon? I've never bothered to chrono the plastic craptastic. How high does that mod make it SGT Biggie?

another fu mod,i havent tried it yet since i did it,still working on the valve, but my brother did it to his blade,is take the gun apart and take out all the internals, set the 2 halfs back together, use a ruler to measure 4-6 inches from the begging of the barrel and make a mark, and then go some spiral porting(i cant remember the exact drill bit size but use a ported barrel to measure it up),sand out all burs, and voila, the porting uder the pump arm helps quiet it a bit

Yeah, I heard about that. Tell me if it reduces the noise much. I've also run out of ideas for mods, for now anyway- so people, add your ideas to this.

it worked nicely on the blade of my borthers,he also attached a bbgun rifle stock and put 2 small screws int he side for sights and can hit the keyhole on a lock from 50 feet consistantly, should i ask him for directions on attaching a stock?

Damn, thats good acuracy for a blade. Yeah, post the instructions on here, I'm sure someone with a blade will find them usefull. (I threw mine out after two of them cracked in the place where the 12gram screw into.) I should change the thread name to "...talon/blade" I got a woven nylon strap (Backpack like) and tied it to the top back hole and the one on the bottom of the grip. (Talon) So I put my arm through the strap now, and when I extend my arms untill the strap it taught, it is very stable. Helps alot to stop the picture in my scope from bouncing around too much. Hey, if you have any other good mods, then post 'em.

to fix the common problem of the blade body cracking where ya screw the c02 in,use a black tie strap on the body and pull it as tight as ya can, keep the halves together so it wont cross thread or crack

Any websites that have info on modding out a talon and blade would be great help. I've got some high grade guns but if you mod those out and screw up your out of a huge sum of cash. I can get a blade for $18.88 anda talon for 29.94 at the local wal-mart so it's a lot easier to screw them up then my other guns. First question would be, what's better talon or blade? Also has anyone tried to convert one of these guns into an autococker? Since an autococker is basically a pump gun with a few mods on it wouldn't it be possible to convert one of these guys into an autococker like gun with some autococker parts?

Ok, Crazy B, here goes.
go to http://www.geocities.com/talonownersgroup/ They have lots of mods. (Not all of them are worthy of praise tho, but none the less, it is a good site.)

Personally I like the talon better. The blade has a tendancy to crack in the place where the 12gm. screws into. (I had three that broke)(and, no, I did not buy all of them) The blade also has a vertical rise hopper right on the top of the gun. Not too good for aiming. The talon however, has a 45 degree elbow on the right so, you can use the sight rail, or mount a scope like I did. The place where the 12gm. screws into is the handle as well. This will not crack while inserting the co2 cartridge. But, if you do get a talon, (which I highly recommend over a blade.) make sure to get the talon ghost. You can see when the ball breaks, you can see if it double feeds (never had that prob. tho) and if you want to de certaint mods which require cutting the plastic halves, you can see where is a good and a bad place to cut. so, remember, talon ghost, not blade.

Ok, In the forums on the original talon owners group page they have info on semi-auto talons, and autococker talons. (sounds fun)
and I beleive that your last questions are answered in the previous statement.

Hope this helps crazyB

Oh, on another note everyone, while browsing the OTOG page I saw vertical pump arm (They explain the V.P.A. mod better too.) and double trigger mods. Please excuse me for being retarded. (read my fisrt post)
