New to paintball, Getting a Tippy...

i have a few questions, im sure you have all heard them about a billion times, but i was wondering...'

I am new to paintball, but i love it, ive played a few times at S.C. Village and Close Encounters here in California and the rentals are M98's and M98C's. I am planning on buying a level 3 package at www.thepaintballstore.com that will include the following

Tippy M98C - Silver (my friends are getting black)
V-Force Armor Mask - i read good reviews for it, nice mask...
2000 paintballs - was 200, i upgraded it so i have something to shoot when i get it
a 200 round hopper - standard
a 20oz CO2 tank - how many shots will this get? is 20 oz the weight filled or empty? is it huge? what do the rentals have on them?
Eblow - standard (should i get adustable? its only $2)
Generic Gun Oil - ???
Factory Parts - ???
Manufacter's Warrenty - ??

all of this is for $227.90 (shipping icluded, no tax because i dont live in texas)

So... is this a good deal? im sure this is the gun i want to get... ive heard so many good things about it.

I'd say you have a very well thought out package there. Just make sure that you take care of the gun real well, and keep everything in prime condition and you will be happy for a good long time. Most people are gonna say to get a new barrel right away, but I used my stock for about 4 months and tried a few others, and really, you learn how to get a feel for the large gun well with the little stock barrel.

As far as the price, it seem sabout average. I kno wthey have free shipping too, so the weight of it works out quite well on your end. Happy 'balling to ya!

Uhhhh, lets see:

First off, 20 oz. isn't the weight, it's the amount of air that can be filled. Second, you don't need an elbow with a 98 Custom. Third, make sure the mask is thermal...very important. Last, most rentals have 12 oz. tanks on them...a 20 oz. will last 1000+ shots, the 12 oz. will last about 700.

CO2 tanks are filled by weight of the liquid CO2 put into them, not the amount of air put in. Example: A 20oz tank holds upto 20oz of liquid co2. Most of the time it is only filled to 19oz as a safety precaution. I think you meant to say what I just said, but I am clearing it up.

Good package. The standard elbow is adjustable and it comes with the gun. A 20oz tank used to give me 1200+ rnds per fill. The tank itself weighs almost 1.5lbs emty. Its a good choice because it will last you all day if you're trigger happy and all weekend if you aim before you shoot.

Good choice on the V-force. Our club uses them as rental masks and I can say from experience, that it isn't going to fog over unless you play in fog or rain (aka, the humidity needs to be 100% for it to fog over). They are also extremely easy to clean. Belive me I've cleaned at least 40 of them per weekend. :)

Good package dude. I ordered the same one but got a 12 oz tank and 200 paintballs from the same company...Power Sports. But a different site. Lowpaintballprices.com Well because of the distance between here (atlantic canada) and texas I only recieved the mask tank and paintballs. I told this story so many times... both packages were in canada the same day but only one got here. Dad called down and they said they'd throw in a drop forward with regulator (40$ us value he said) and so he sent that package 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'll give it another 2 weeks and if i dont get it, i'm canceling the order and gettin the gun somwhere else. I was think warzone paintball cuz they got the m98c for $122, and the j&j ceramic barrell for $30. Overall the package cost somthing like $350 canadian which is REALLY good price, seeing the cheapest i ever seen the m98custom in canada is 295$ excluding tank and v-force armor mask.

Buddy your gettin Ripped, go to www.paintballgear.net and get a package from them along with 2000Blaze paintballs, they shoot good threw the stockbarrel. And as for the V-Force dont get those they have WAY to big of a profile, and you'll get popped in the head alot. Get a thermal JT Spectra in Olive if you play woods or scenario ball. As for the 20oz co2 it weighs aprox. 1.75lbs not to big of a hassle. Next upgrade you get should be a barrel, CP or any smart parts will do.
