Hacking BE is a kneejerk reaction for people who dont understand the economics of paintball nor the "entry level" Idea that is BE! Dont let someone trashing BE get to you just know that it is a scared attitude..LOL

you can run a talon of nitro? that is cool, even though talons suck!

Here's mine. It's as simple as screwing a nitro tank into the drop! I imagine I could get 10,000 shots off of a 68 ci 4500!

wow thats cool man. Don't let these ignorant morons get to you. Brass Eagle plays an important role in paintball and anyone who has a marker, even if it is BE, is cool. Unless they are hateful spiteful people like Tony6789 and Paintballer56.

05-13-2001, 11:56 AM
Brass eagle's talon is cool, maby you dont think it a good gun, but if your a kid making about 5 bucks a week with alowance, you'd think it was cool to.

05-13-2001, 12:29 PM
How much does it cost to get to run nitro?

05-13-2001, 05:15 PM
My friends birthday is coming out. I want him to start to like paintball, so i'll get him a talon with nitro as a start.

Magnus55
05-13-2001, 11:59 PM
hehe good idea. Our sport could use some fresh meat....um players.

05-14-2001, 02:49 AM
actualy, i'll just but him a PMI Tracer S/A, but he'll have to but the mask and co2

05-14-2001, 05:31 PM
wow, i din't know nitro tanks costs so much. Why is it any different then a Co2 tank?

Skull
05-15-2001, 06:01 PM
wow newbie alert!!* naw j/k, nitro is pretty much just compressed air, like the air we breath. It's alot more consistant, but also requires a lil more equipment on the tank to measure and balance the consistancy (like a regulator, and gauge). CO2 is liquid CO2 compressed into a tank, it's pretty consistant, although it is way behind nitro.

05-16-2001, 03:12 AM
yup, im a newbie, but everyone here was at one time too, so you can't realy complain.

Brass eagle sucks major butt and everyone here knows it. Anyone who wastes there money on putting nitro on a talon has MAJOR issues. Call me a hater if you want but I use to own a brass eagle and I could spit more accurately then it could shoot. Why in the WORLD would you want to put a scope on one either? It wouldn't do much good since the thing cant shoot straight.

u gotta take time, patience, and a lil money to make a BE gun work for ya. Most people trash BE because they either don't have the patience, or the knowledge to tweak the gun to their specifications. Let people do what they want with the guns they have, if he wants to put nitro on a talon, y not?!! People think i'm nuts for spending $150 bucks on a tigershark, but now it works the way i want it too, and besides i used my money not urs so let me do what i want with it..

Well I guess I have major issues then. But let me refer you to this picture;

http://167.217.2.4/wiseguys/teammap.jpg

That is one season worth of trophies and awards. Maybe my issues are worthwhile then?? Take a look at my avatar and signature. Being the Indiana Novice Champions must also help my issues.

I work on a lot of guns. I enjoy building them as well as modifying them. I always try to see how far I can go with one and then take it a step further. Have you ever seen a gun without a trigger that works perfectly? I've done that.

One thing that your post proves is that the paintball community needs Brass Eagle. Their cheap guns get a lot of people started in the sport. For a small investment people can see if they really like it or not. If they do then they progress to better equipment, if not, they haven't invested much in it. Your progression proves my point.

Thanks,

It's custom made. It's 3/4" wide by 1/4" thick aluminum bar stock. Steel was too heavy for the stock and it doesn't need to support much so aluminum worked perfectly. I bent it as needed and voila' it's a stock!

Bent it with your hands or a tool? How did you attach it?

That stock looks a whol lot nicer than most of the ones on the market. Probobly a lot less exspensive also.

Skull

cant say that its nicer then all the stocks on market, but it sure as heck beats out the majority of em... gotta hand it to ya auctionjunkie, and i thought my tigershark had a makeover. I really need to borrow a digi camera

With a vise, some wood blocks, a small hammer and my hands! It attaches through the base of the grip using the existing screws. I think it cost me $5 for the 5 foot aluminum stock. I used maybe 20" on the stock.

Auctionjunkie what do you know about upgrades/mods/conversions for the phantom? Do you know of any places that do custom work on phantoms besides CCI and Doc Nickels?

Thanks,
James

brass eagle is good for the game. It gets people into it. Then they go onto bigger and better guns (if they want). For instance, my friends little brother is in 5th grade. hes not strong enough to handle my friends stingray 2, hes small for his age and the gun is bigger than his whole upper body. He has a tough time shooting it. But then he gets his talon out and has a great time. Im sure as time goes he will get better guns, but for now its all he can handle. Not to mention how light and easy to handle it is. So before you start bashing Brass Eagle, think of the little guys who may not be able to handle better guns yet.

His (Dans) quote: That is one season worth of trophies and awards. Maybe my issues are worthwhile then??

Mine (Darren): Someone sure likes to brag, it doesn't take alot to get a trophy I have aolt of them.

His: Take a look at my avatar and signature. Being the Indiana Novice Champions must also help my issues.
Mine: LOL. What a smart alec. You sure impress me there.

His:I work on a lot of guns.
Mine: Congradulations so do I.
His: I enjoy building them as well as modifying them.

Mine:Someone give the guy a cookie.
His:I always try to see how far I can go with one and then take it a step further.
Mine:Isn't that just moving.Lol, can someone say idiot? His:Have you ever seen a gun without a trigger that works perfectly?
Mine:No, usually it takes a trigger to shoot a gun.
His:I've done that.
Mine:Geez, I guess you've just done it all then.

His:One thing that your post proves is that the paintball community needs Brass Eagle.
Mine: I agree, but the guns could be made better and still get a good price.
His:Their cheap guns get a lot of people started in the sport. For a small investment people can see if they really like it or not.
Mine:They wont like paintball very much if the gun wont fire, dont you agree?
His:If they do then they progress to better equipment, if not, they haven't invested much in it.
Mine:They've lost money if the dont like it but maybe if brass eagle would have mad it a tadd bit better, they would have had a more enjoyable time rather then being a paint magnet.
His:Your progression proves my point.
Mine:What point, that you work on guns and can win some matches? If I had a dollar for every time ive seen a new brass eagle gun break down in the middle of a battle, I would be a rich man. They aren't reliable guns, what you're talking about is spending more money on a brass eagle gun when also you're saying that they dont have to put much of an investment in it. They spend more time trying to get them to work then playing with them. I agree that Brass Eagle is a helpful company in promoting the sport.
