i'm about to buy an auto cocker and i was wondering what the diffrence in an auto cocker and outher guns?

Well, I don't know all of the things, but here are some:
3-way (don't laugh): The three-way is something that basically nothing besides cocker's have. It has something to do with timing, hydraulics, and the back of it cocking.

The whole back:It cocks, and not just the bolt. If you are plaing tourney-ball, you will most likely need a beavertail.

The way they operate. The autococker is a closed bolt marker, and some markers are open bolt, spool valve, blow forward etc...

The autococker is actually a pump gun with timed hydraulics that allow it to recock itself after firing. It was the first type of semi-automatic paintball gun, then came other types of blowbacks, electrically operated guns, hybrids, etc. They are reliable, but you really need to learn how to tweak your settings at some point in time. If you love tinkering with stuff, an autococker is probably the best thing available. You can really customize it as well, being that their parts have been on the market for forever.
