View Full Version : Does it Exist?

I was told about a barrel, or barrel kit that was guarenteed not to break a ball. I was told that the inside of the barrel seemed wet, because of what the inserts were made out of. I was told that if you stuck one ball in the opposite side of the barrel and fired a ball that the balls would bounce off of each other until they left the barrel. Does such a thing Exist? Because, if there is I'll buy it. Please let me know, if this is a rumor I don't want to spend anymore nights looking for this kit.
Thanks

Lol no, im sorry that is not true. Not only that but
Worries go in order from lasers to breaks. (Saying I would have some breaks and a laser other than no breaks and the accuracy of the weather forecast.

It would be usless anyway..
It would be like when a paintball bursts inside the barrel, it gets slipery and you get poor accuracy.
You need the friction to get good power, and to stabilize the ball before it leaves the muzzle.

Sorry my friend. I think you've been taken. I've never heard of any such barrel.

I know they have those great barrels that you have never heard of and shoot paintballs like shotguns.

Although there is no such barrel. There is a barrel that can virtually clean itself as well as a squeege can. Its called the Poisen Arrow, it is very expensive though.

what if you had a berrel made from Delrin?

Metal is much stronger and to my knowledge can be honed much smoother.

if the barrel had its own board and could wide and shrink this idea might work

or you could use a sling shot and then you wouldn't need a barrel lol seriously though, i think a delrin barrel would be gud

the inside of the barrel delrin might work but the whole thing:eyes:

well you can get entirely delrin triggers

Like bobcool hinted at, delrin can shrink and expand in hot and cold temps. That's besides what I already mentioned, a delrin barrel could be easily broken and I don't think it can be honed very smooth.

Triggers don't occasionally plunge into the ground when you're doing a superman dive.
A delrin finish is an interesting idea, but I would be worried about swelling.

They should make a barrel out of carbon fiber matrix alloy titanium prontium uranium chloronate.

And while you're at it give it a platinum exterior and a diamond studded finish...you know just for looks
Add some cosmetic value

The barrel that is claimed to feel wet when you touch it is the Titanium Paintball Longbow, specifically the one that actually has titanium backs. The theory is that the finish is so fine that the honing marks in the barrel are not deep enough to absorb the moisture on your finger, so instead, your finger feels it's own oils and perspiration (at this time, I would like to point out that this is NOT my own theory :eyes: - just repeating what I have been told).
As for the stuff about the ball in the barrel, can't say that I have ever heard that said about any barrel, including the Longbow. Don't know where that came from.
The truth about the Longbow.
The barrels are NOT HONED. We use a process that case hardens the inside bore, and during that process all the marks are removed.
Since there are no honing marks in the barrel, if you touch it with your finger for a few seconds, you will feel your own sweat on the bore.
The main thing about our finish is the reduced friction. We have repeatedly demonstated that we can shoot a .690 paintball through our .681 bore without breaking paint. Not that you would normally shoot paint that tight, but what it does show, is that the occasional big ball that goes through the marker will not break. The friction also lessens the velocity fluctuation between shots, which gives you better accuracy.
As for shooting multiple balls, we can put in three balls or so into a barrel and shoot them out without any breaking.
