Has anybody tried one of these Ultraback Vests from flurry industries? www.flurryindustries.com I wanted to find out cuz I was thinking of getting one but wanted somebody elses opinion first. My local store is going to get some in soon and I wanted something like that for when I play in big games and scenarios.

It Looks pretty cool to me. I am thinking about picking one up myself. The price seems pretty good compared to similar vests, If you pick one up lemme know your opinion on it.

I'd get a Viper commando 6+1 Commando vest instead! it is only $29.99! at www.paintball-online.com

I already got one of these Ultraback vests. I think its awesome. It works great for me and I look like one of the guys from Black Hawk Down when I wear it. It was money well spent for me since I've wanted something like this to come out for a while now.

I had a friend get one of those Viper vests and then he found out why it only cost him $30. The guppie holders fell apart on him after two outtings and it was way too big. He tried to call or email the manufacturer but found out they went out of business over a year ago. oh well

i duno, if I were gona get a tactical vest I think I'd want more than 2 140 rnd pod holders... atleast 4... 6 if they could... I mean, with a vest you have the front as well as the back...

thats is what is so nice about this vest..you can add as many pod holders as youi like.. not sure the max though

Yeah, but the vest with a 2+1 setup cost around 65 dollars, then it's an additional 12 dollars for extra 2 pod holders... I mean... it's gets hella expensive after a few... a little much for a vest in my oppinion... then again, the prices they quote could be MSRP... but i duno

You guys must have misread the thing. The vest comes with two of the 2 pod attachments and one tank holder. So the vest can hold four 140 round tubes and up to a 114ci tank when you receive it. You can purchase an extra 2 pod attachment and put it on the vest if you aren't going to use the tank holder attachment.

I just wanted to let you guys know. Otherwise that would be kinda expensive. I got one and its cool as hell. I don't use the tank holder attachment but I have mine set up 2 pods horizontal and 2 pods vertical.

get the Viper commando 6+1 Commando Vest i got one of them... but i noticed that the seems/flaps seem to fall apart...

Thats why all those online stores are trying to unload those Viper 6+1 vest cheap because they fall apart. There is a correlation between price and quality.

I think the correct term is supply and demand... large supply + low demand = very low price....

Assassin X

I think the equations is:

Large supply of cheaply made products + low demand because the product is junk + a company that has to sell the the products at almost a loss to even get stores to stock them = a company that went out of business over 2 years ago.

Thats my view.

I love the ultraback! Excellent construction, comes with the ability to carry 4 pods and a remote. fully adjustable and looks damn cool. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it has a big red flurry sewed into the chest of it. Need to get something to cover it. Anybody else have a way of getting rid of that?

Hey Rage.

What I didn was took black sharpie permanent marker to it and colored in the red and left the gray and that looks cool but you could just colort the whole thing in. I just was too lazy to sew something over it.

the ultraback is the best vest you can get. the ultra strong velcro allows you to set up the vest however you want and it also doubles as a chest protector. you have a couple of pockets in the front that can hold a squeegee, x lens, walkie talkie or just whatever. It has a snug fit and doesnt move at all when your jumpin around. Get one cause its the best

the tactical vest is awesome! i bought it a week ago and the thing comes stocked! pockets for everything you need, two 2 pod holders and a tank holder with a clip clasp thingy. the velcro is damn strong. you could put other velcro pod holders and things on it too. its worth the $72 dollars i paid for it and shipping (3 day postal) durable looking high grade material. probably will get ball bounces too.

I ordered mine on a late friday afternoon and I got it that next monday in the afternoon. I used an old name tape from some of my old trashed cammies and it will cover that Flurry complately. I like how easy it's to set up and it adjust verry easily. I say it's better than my old Cobra Gear , Viper +1 Commando vest. I recomend it to everybody.

hey pbguy,

I'm using one of those camelbak Pakteen systems in my tank holder. People had told me that that was what they were using so I got one. The dimensions are about the same as you had listed. You just have to fill it up and cram it into the tank holder.

Mine fits in there well. I used 2 velcro strip pieces on the shoulder straps to keep the tube in place running over the shoulder and it ends just below the chest pouch so it is easily accessible.

I think I might start a Ultraback Modification webpage so people can send it there own personal mods. what do you guys think?

hmm, i really like the idea of having one of these, cuz my Redz pack tends to move around a little and my friends and i play with walkie-talkies, but i also want to get a 3-d camo suit...could you wear the two together? or would the camo make accessing the pods impossible?

pbguy888

If you want one of the best 3-d suits there is goto unitedpaintball.com they have one that is awsome and is kept in a little pouch that you take the suit in and out in like 5 sec. they have video of the suit in action too. it is so awsome go check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Anyone know if they plan to make them in some camo pattern in the future? I pretty much just play woods, so I kind of have a thing for camo.

I took my ultraback to Black Cat Productions Path of Disaster 24h Game in Jessup MD. Not only didn't i had one single problem with my vest and I am an Ex-Marine so I expect much from my gear. I low crawled , slided into Cover, crept trought thick brush and ran across a swamp on varrious ocations and I didn't had one problem. The pod holders never came off as stated elsewere in this forum and all the stiching held up great. The best thing to cover that red "Flurry" logo is a standard name tape. I ran my Old Cammel back 100oz and not only the foam padding prevented frommmy body heat to heat up the water it also saved me from some nasty welts when a kid with an autococker opened up into the fort we were battling for from about one foot away. The Ultraback got it's test under a full scenario and pass with flying colors. My next mod is a cammo cover since all black sometimes its easy to spot.

I got a cobra gear vest. I love it! It's got room for everything I need, and extra room for my teammates' extra gear too. It fits nice and close, I had mine "customized" (as in, I'm tiny and I could only find a large). It has a 6 + 1 design, and won't fall apart like a viper. It would be a really good piece of gear for a scenario, where you need to carry alot of stuff, not to mention ammo. I think you can pick them up at www.bulldogpaintball.com
