i think i can make a revvy faster than a halo. im going to use thisthis (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXH297&P=0) and install the x-board and i guarantee it will feed faster than the halo for the same price. :D

Me thinks not compadre.
The HALO almost forces the paintballs into the feed tube thats what gives it, its phenominal rate of fire. Where as yours will most likely spin the feed arms faster in your revvy and knock all the paintballs everywhere inside it.

ya, that will not make the revvy feed faster, if anything it will make it harder for the balls to feed since they are bing knocked around so much. the revvy also waits for a gap in the feed tube which IMO makes a slower feed rate.

um, what the heck do you know about R/C. With all the servos Ive used and am familiar with, they spin only maybe 3/4 of a whole turn. Sometimes more, depending on the type and brand. Also, can you solder? The j connector and the connector on the revy are not the same

I'm sorry dude. Spending that much money on the servo and the revy will wind up with you paying close to the same you would for the HALO.

Servos for use with r/c vehicles are geared WAY down for torque, i know, i build r/c airplanes and cars. They also have a very different way of opperation. In an r/c servo it requires 3 wires, one for signal, one for ground, and one for positive. This makes them useless for our applications because the circuitry is incompatable. They also require only 5v-6v and would probably fry on 9v. They are also internally limited to 120deg of deflection total unlike a revvy which just spins like a top.
From the review of the halo down below, i would say to just get a r2k for $65. It's a much better deal and doesn't eat batteries like the halo. Plus it has a built in timer for speedball and a ball counter so you know when to reload.

Yeah I agree, they are geares wrong and dont trun all the way, if you wanna go that far you could get a HPI R/C car motor and put a resistor on it so it wont spin too fats, it has torque and speed, but all of this is too crazy, why would you need something that is a paint blender, you really cant achieve that fast rate anyways, and if you think you could then ask yourself why havent other companies tried it? Even if you could get it working at lets say 25 bps (Yeah I'm exagerating) what kind of gun is going to be able to handle that? It would have to be perfectly in tune to your gun or it would just chop like crazy.
Lets do a little bit of money budgeting:
12v hopper-$50
Hpi Race car Motor-$40
Resistor-$5 (at most)
200 paintballs every ten seconds-$5/per 10 secs
and all this adds up to: NOT WORTH IT!
I mean you had a good idea, nothing against it, but it just wouldnt work.

well FYI i have 4 rc cars and put every ne of them together soldered every connection.
and what in the heck do you think makes the revvy turn... a servo. and the only reason they only spin 3/4 of a turn is because that is how much the reciver lets it turn, and it has a special gear. think of it this way, if it kept turning then you couldnt turn, the wheels wouyld just keep turning round and round.
