Help a new guy out... what is the proper proceedure to squeegee your barrel? Do you have to take the barrel off the gun to run the squeegee thru it or do you just ram it in and pull it out so to speak... explain please... I don't understand how you would use a squeegee like "The Jerk" without taking off your barrel... for a BattleZone squeegee it looks like you would just ram it in and pull it out... also what is the best kind of squeegee to buy in your humble opinion... I will be making a squeegee purchase in the very near future and if I screw up this ten dollar purchase I will never be able to forgive myself... so help out a...

A jerk, viper, or similar stick or cord squeegies require you to complete take off your barrel. A battleswab or equivalant (looks like a wooden stick with cotten and and a bend in the middle) only requires a quick jam and pull kinda action down the barrel one or two times. Battleswabs are the best for speedball, and viper or other stick/cord squeegies are best for woods, where you have a little more time to completely take off the barrel.

You dont have to take off the barrel to use a strait shot. Just push it in and flip the disk at the other end side ways and put it in the barrel and let go of the other end so that the disk flips its self and pull it out. Sorry i cant really explain it but it works well for me. If you understood that good if you didnt...sorry.

Okay...I am pretty sure I know what a battleswab is. A big cotton-candy like piece of cotton around a stick...So when you jam it in your barrel arent you just pushing the paint back into your gun?

Dont ram it home like your drillin for oil and you'll be fine.

To properly squeege you need to either take out the bolt or take off the barrel. However during a game there is usually not time for this so you use a swab or a straight shot to get most of the paint out then clean up later. How to get the bolt out or barrel off depends on what gun you are shooting.
