judging by your other thread you've seemed to have narowed it down to the torid X or vexor eye already. you may also want ot take a look at a used PMI evo or a T boarded spyder. the new spyder pilot is worth a look too.

I suggest getting the Vexor Eye. It has a reg, breakbeam eyes, a clamping feedneck, and is capable of 20 bps. The Eye has all those features in addition to many others at only $130 from Amazon.com. I'd go with a ToridX. Same as a TES without the maintenance problems, and also good grips clamping feed neck, and software upgrades. Easy to maintain also(spyder clone)

To install the eyes you need to mill the body which will cost money also unless you have access to a drill press and have experience to using one. From the places online I've found installing eyes to cost $50 or more so you should factor that into the price too.

ACS spyder pilot (the barnd new one with electra like milling and fades)
anything T-boarded with eyes
used PMI evos and ACI blind rages (new if they ever dip below $200)

its not that hard, all you need is a hand drill.Ask your dad to help or something.You dont need that much experience.Also you can just put the board in there and save up for the installation and just wait if you must.

Ya, but if you mess up the body or the eyes don't align (if they are breakbeam) then you'll need to get a new body from kingman, and even though its a piece of aluminum they will still charge $30 or more. (I asked about a victor body they wanted 30 for it :rolleyes: ) So basically if your not confident drilling a hole into your gun it may be better to have a pro do it.

:D My Torid X Came Today! I Busted A Ball When I First Shot It (Brittle Balls I Think) And Had To Clean The Marker All Out. I Broke The Detent When I Was Putting Back On:o Super Glued It And Then It Worked Fine. But I Screwed It In To Far And The Bolt Got Stuck On It. Then I Unscrewed It A Little And It Works Awesome Now. IT CAN RIP!:ninja:

you can get a TES for about 100-140 on ebay and the Torrid is identical. and the grips aren't the crap-tastic clear plastic. plus they have a eye and 20bps boards that can be uncapped. but if you have a spyder body, the ONE kit is now back in ebay stores and a few places on line for like 150-220.

the piranha pro e is one of the better 220 dollar markers you can get has semi,burst,auto an lcd flush cocking low pressure the only drawback is the fact that it is a blowback. it works well with anti siphoned c02 or compressed air. i know you may say the evo is cool cause its capped at 20 bps and has eyes unlike the pro e but it also doesn't work well with c02 it will just chop and chop even with the eyes on. also the frame is a crappy composite. The pro e may not have eyes but i use crappy walmart paint and it doesn't ever chop a ball also the trigger is alluminum compaired to the crappy evo trigger.

Does Not Use 9volt Batteries (uses Weird 7.2 volt batteries that are like $20)

CHOPS WITH EYES ON (I Used A Gravity Loader And Orange/Yellow Dusk Paintballs, I Think It Might Be Low Batteries (Cannot Replace With 9volts When Low), I Hafta Quit Early Or I Chop, And I Dont Even Shoot Fast (At The Most 7bps, Mostly 4-5bps):pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

Refurbed Imagine is the way to go, it's simply the best deal, any the marker that add cheaply made ups,(Like the Misfit or Vexor Eye, or, like in his case, the Torid X) but, the Imagine can be made better with less money.

true, they are not fully EP. come to think of it i don't know what the proper designation is for a marker like the wrath or AR-1. "spring returned electro" works well enough. although, "electro" refers to electro pneumatic. so i guess they are EP with the defining characteristic being that thet are spring returned.

odyssey O2's are also spring retuned electros tha cna be had for $200 or a tad under.
