Well, I was looking in one of the stickies na dnoticed one mod in particular. His name was "Ice". I looked at his profile and he hasn't posted in weeks. I have noticed this also for some other mods I have seen here. I just wondered why they don't really frequent pbr much. I'm just used to far more consistant moderators.

You know some mod or agent or mod suckup is gonna say, "Just becasue we dont post doesnt mean we dont work" or "We get the job done fine when we are here"

ice really isn't a mod any more... he's a legend (mod with honorary discharge), but andrew didn't change his title. ice isn't assigned to any forums, and therefore doesn't have any powers at all.

honorary discharge

what does that mean.he's ending his term as a moderator but still has powers?he just quit as a moderater and has no powers?what is it?

honorary discharge = doesn't have time to perform his modly duties and lets andrew know. he still has access to the mod forum and a staff title, but no forum powers. examples: bourne, crime dog, ebon (ex-legend).

dishonorable discharge = takes off without telling andrew and never comes back. examples: simon woodstock, silent knight, richie c.
also, leaves due to disagreements with other mods. examples: caleb and el twitcho.

Nope, you have to be specially selected for that forum. If you ever recieve the honor, for the love of god stay away from Turambar's threads :dodgy:.

well played, michigander. well played.

if you were supposed to know what was in the mod forum, it wouldn't be for mods only, would it? :dodgy:

Well, I just thought that was well, no means to be rude, but that's a little bad of maintenance.

Worst on the mod's part though.:|

Hmmm...just wondering. Thanks for answering anyways.

So who are the frequent moderators these days. I mean, with a site this large you would have to frequently be on here if you're a mod I would think.

What's wrong with Turumbar's threads?

i'm definitely the most active mod here. of course, activity is measured by lack of anything productive to do :|

the comment on turambar's threads was a joke. he implied that turambar's taste in porn is... exotic. not like he knows or anything.

UTL and Uziel are on quite often.

There's quite a few of us who are on regularly and we keep each other in the loop quite well. I wouldn't say Ice is gone...he's been around recently, compared to some other folks per se.

There does seem to be some inactive mods, but the ones that are active are on alot, so you hardly notice the difference.

Spydey is pretty active, I see him in about every forum. Jaster and Lopez are real active in the Timmy forums too.

Tippmann, ICD, Strategies and Tactics, and South East.

I float around a bit, but I usually don't have too much to say in General PB or OT. I'm trying to get out and about some more so that guys will stop going: "when did they make you a mod?" Of course, there are still other mods who do that...so it might be a while.

John Sullivan

well you are ALWAYS on.almost as much as spydy.

I think you'll find that there are mods who are on a lot more than you may think. They just don't feel the need to post in threads where the answer/solution is already given or where the discussion is inane or irrelevant. Bear in mind that in the summertime, people go on vacation or go out of town (much like I am right now). As such we don't all have internet access. If we get some toolbag that comes in and spams a bit, just be patient. It'll get taken care of. There's no harm done but a little annoyance. More mods isn't the answer to spammers. They'll spam whether our reaction time is 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day. What we need are members who are patient and show restraint by clicking the "report" button so we log the spam for proper disposal and members who refrain from posting in those threads. It's a team effort guys.

Hey Lopez I'm assuming the other thread like this one was closed due to your post or am I wrong. And who closed it?

Lopez17

Got me. Probably Andrew. Regardless, IMHO the answer to most issues is quality over quantity. Add in a bit of patience and most problems become non-issues.
