STOP!!!!! there is no such thing as a "best barrel." It is all about paint-to-barrel match. Therefor the baest barrel would be one with inserts (Equation MS, Freak, ACI PHAT), or the one that matches the paint you use.

O.K. AK47, the best barrels regarding range and accuracy, would be
A) the ones with a bore that matches your paints caliber
B) the ones that have a good amount of length, but not too much, 12-14 inches would be good.
C) the ones without excessive porting, as this reduces the air efficency of your marker, and the ball will stop being acelerated sooner because of the porting. This means a barrel with more then 3/4 of it's length UNPORTED would be good. If not 3/4, then at least not alot of porting.
So in other words, good barrels, depending on your paints' caliber, would be (I don't gaurentee that these will have PMI threading):
-Lapco Bigshot (Alum. or SS)
-ACI Zero-Gravity One Piece
-AKALAMP Javelin
-CCI Nickel Barrel
-CMI Tru-Flight Barrel
-CP One Piece Barrel
Thats all I'm going to list because I'm getting real tired, and I need to go start a thread of my own.

While there are no "best barrels" there are a few factors that separate great barrels from average and bad barrels. If the runout is correct, you'll get improved consistency and overall performance. If the bore is smooth, you'll get better accuracy and less breaks. If the metal is hard, you'll get a longer lasting bore quality. And, don't forget the paintballs you shoot. They should be round and match your barrel. All of the above reasons are why some barrels cost $30 and some cost $130. Every barrel I've used that was over $80 was good quality. Some (but not all) barrels under $50 were great too. Dye, Equation, Smart Parts, Lapco, CP, etc. all make great stuff.
Just my two cents
