-Which is better im not quite sure which to buy, iv read reviews and gotten the facts but i would like recomendations on which is better to buy, i am a front player who utilizes speed and strategy and both r very appealing but id like some ppl with xperience with each to help me decide. THX

Ion, it is a blow-forward, the Protium is a blow back, nuff said, and SP is a reliable company, if I knew more about the JT marker I'd say more, but, I don't.

Actually, the ion runs fairly well on co2...
ION.

well i believe the ion is a spool valve, but your point remains the same. the ion will indeed have less kick than a blow back and is superior to the JT in many ways.
yes the ion is a superior marker, but the JT can hold it's own just as well. i'm speaking from exprience, i've had both markers on my team, and i can tell you that the ion is a better buy but the JT is still a good marker. as a front player speed isn't as important as say, a back player, so both markers should be plenty fast. my prefrence for front happens to be a lite weight, compact marker, but that's just me.
yes, get an ion.

Hybrid blowforward/spool valve.

lol, more like hybrid blowback/spool valve. i just looked at an animated schematic and it appears as if the bolt is 'air-returned', hence blowback. not quite 90% shocker, but still cool none the less.

It's a blow forward/spool valve because the air that pushes the bolt forward is also exhausted out the front to propel the ball. Air is used in both directions for cycling. In a true spool valve marker LPR gas is used to cycle the bolt, while HPR pressure is only used to propel the ball.

-iv also heard that c02 messes with the internals of an ion and that it doesnt work? is this true, cause iv got a friend who is 100% sure that ions get messed up with c02 being used 4 it? replys

IONs run fine on anti-siphoned co2.

Actually, no it doesn't suck. The stock reg handles co2 very well, as does the solenoid.

Umm...Don't you have an Ion Clown? If he does, there's no need to argue with him, and he is right..

It works on CO2 (if a/s) just about as good as a blowback but it really handicaps the gun. HPA should be one of the 1st upgrades you get for the Ion.

Dont get an Ion they suck and are very unreliable. They are cheaply made and break easily.

Is that a bad thing?
Ion > all blowbacks
End of discussion, closed because I'm sick of all the kids who've never touched an Ion come in to comment.
