I was wondering what the benefits to using N2 or compressed air are compared to co2? And how much does it cost on average?

N2 is cleaner than c02.N2 is more stable so less variation in fps. N2 is much cleaner so it will make your gun last longer(if you take care of your gun) It' costs about 150 to buy a nitro tank.

You can get 48ci/3000psi tanks for about $80.

Ill lay the fact down flat
Nitro can cost from 45 buck(used on ebay) to 550 bucks for the newest tanks
Advantage over CO2

Can play with it in any weather: practically weather never efects HPA while u can use CO2 in extremely cold weather.

You cant freeze your gun, nitro never drops temp so u can freeze the internals

Never any shootdown if u have a happy trigger CO2 is not right 4 u because of shoot down. When u fire rapidly using CO2 it starts to drop temp and therefor freezes ure gun or gust cant propell the ballll that well.

Consistancy. This determents how accurate ure shots will be and how well u keep ure chroned speed. Nitro is much better in this catigory.

Advantage to co2

there are only two things more shoots to the smaller tank and much cheaper.

Hope this helps!!!

Also the shots per tank fill on nitro is determined by two things.

the first is the actualy size of the tank this is messured in ci (cubic inches) most tanks are either 47ci 68ci 88ci or 114ci this is the actual size (mass) of the tank

The second thing that contorls the shots is the psi(pounds per square inch) most tanks are gonna be 3000psi or 4500psi. You can not actually tell the difference between the two. The rule of thumb (but viates for each gun setup) is that shop for 3000psi you multply for tank size by 10 (ie 68ci/3000psi = 680 shots) and 15 for 4500psi (ie 68ci/4500psi = 1020 shots)
hope this helps

What has to be changed on the gun in order to use N2. I thinking about using N2 with a diablo terminator T3.

That's not totally accurate. N2 does drop in pressure and temp when firing, just not very much. If you could get your gun to cycle at like 150 bps, then you would have your gun freeze. But nobody can do that, so you don't have to worry.
(Sorry, I just felt like being a smart ***.) ;)
