In case you didn't know, Infamous has been going through some hard times. In Chicago, Travis Lemanski punched Gator for shooting him to avoid a penalty. Frank the Tank is suspended for a year, so now he will be playing with Miami Effect. Rusty Glaze just got picked up by XSV, and there are rumors that Gator and Travis Lemanski will leave. I suspect that Gator will go to Legacy, but that's just my opinion. Fred Halmone is now a permanent player for RL, and Jason Andre and Wayne, two original members of Bad Company, are leaving Arsenal for Bad Company.

So what does this all mean?

XSV is going to give Dynasty lots of problems. They've already proven that they can beat them if they play their best, and now they're only going to get better with the addition of Rusty Glaze. Arsenal, who hasn't really been impressive this season, is going to continue to go downhill. I personally don't see how Infamous will stay together, but they might find a way to pull through. There are just so many rumors and so much turmoil associated with that team right now that it's hard to tell.

Thoughts?

There will be a new powerhouse team beating out Dynasty. XSV. I also think Infamous will break up...But who will get AK and LaSoya? We all know AK's played on pretty much every team out there, so maybe both of them will go to Okland Empire? Discuss.

I can't imagine Lasoya anywhere else, especially somewhere where he won't be shooting a Timmy. If they don't break up, they better pick up some people and get their act together. They've been disappointing this season, and none of this other BS is helping. I expect XSV to beat Dynasty much more than they have so far, just because they're picking up players and things are going very well for them. I know the gun issue with Ryan Greenspan was a "mistake", but still, the less controversy associated with a team, the more they can focus on their game.

Agreed'd

XSV seems to be next Dynasty. Atleast they got 1st in Germany. Wonder why Dynasty didn't head out there to attempt to get another trophy? Well, im going to bed. Peace out.

If you're talking about Paris, XSV did indeed win, and Dynasty didn't even make the finals.

I think XSV will be the next powerhouse team (AKA Dynasty). Infamous will be breaking up.. What about JP, or did he already move to another team? His MySpace would say something about it, and I don't think it does.

Pro paintball is becoming too much like other sports IMO. Nobody seems to stay on one team anymore and the team that buys you is the one you'll be playing for the next season. Atleast that's how XSV does it, they've bought most of their new players. I'm not certain they can beat dynasty yet with their new line-up, but they will definatly put up quite a fight in Denver I believe. I myself don't really care who wins pro and semi pro division. To me it's more about D1, D2 and D3, especially D3 because some friends of mine will be playing San Diego and the one after(Can't remember where it was). However that's NPPL, with PSP I actually am really interested in the results of the open class. I've seen the lower divisions play and it just wasn't as exciting as watching the pro's. I am certain that dynasty will win the remainder of the PSP events. They showed XSV that even with one of their best players suspended and another that couldn't make it, they still beat them.

I cant wait to see XSV vs Dynasty. What a match that'll be.

Just two weeks ago XSV lost twice to dynasty in one weekend.

XSV will soon equal dynasy but when playing games 6 times out of ten dynasty will beat XSV, so XSV will be great and close to dynasty but not quite on par with them yet. Arsenal is going down hill and Infamous will keep together because they have Lasoya, he will pull them thru all the bs they are going thru.

Personally, I dont think Lasoya will go anywhere. He wants his own team, where he can make the calls. On Oakland, or other teams he wont have that power. I say Infamous will stay together, but you will some new faces there....can you say Ultimate. Also XSV will be a major contender, but it will take time for them to have the team work that Dynasty has. I personally dont care for Dynasty, get tired of them winning everything, but they are the team to beat. I say XSV will finish in the top 3m but next yr is when they will shine. Thats my .02 cents.

From what I understand, Arsenal was having major tensions with Andre and Marcus. I believe that was one of the main reasons Jason left.

And what about Avalanche....they're quietly carving out a little niche for themselves. Somewhat of a surprise I'd say.

STO Balla 22

Yeah, Avalanche seems to just be staying cool. I'm anxious to see what will happen at Denver, since they're not getting rid of and picking up players, and since they're shooting Angels instead of NME's.

ShockerGEEk
07-09-2005, 08:27 AM
I heard they were having trouble with their NME's, but all of the NME's I have seen seem to shoot pretty good. Im thinking they just got a better deal from WDP. IM guessing WDP wanted a team that is doing well, unlike Arsenal. Im not saying Arsenal is bad, just that they are not living up to everyones expectations.

Everything I've heard was the NME was crap. System X treated them very poorly and they had such problems with the NMEs that they were pulling new ones out of boxes to supplement team guns. That's not exactly what I'd call quality stuff.

I hadnt heard that System X treated them like crap. Although I did hear they had to pull guns out of boxes because the System X techs couldnt fix all the guns they were having trouble with. Thats too bad if System X did treat them like crap, that may have been their only chance to break into the mainstream.

If Markus Nielson leaves Arsonal( which I highly dought). Im bettng he will play for Joy or Rage, because he has such close ties with WDP. Plus everyone else hates him.

I heard he was getting pissed losing all the time. And the only reason hes staying is WDP.

I think Dynasty will stay on top for a while even with XSV on there tails but some teams that suprised me this season are Avalanche and the Naughty Dogs they have been holdin there own and are pretty high in the ranking. As for Infamous i think they will break up the old team but will appear with a bunch of new talent with laSoya leading the charge but i dont know if the new team will reach the expectations set by the old Infamous.

It seems that JR held a lot of Infamous together. Once he left at the beginning of the season, things started to go downhill.

Six Feet Under

I think Lasoya will keep Infamous together, simply because he wants to give orders and be numero uno.

Otherwise, Dynasty & XSV are still my two top picks for the top two teams.

That really sucks about infamous but i suppose it wouldnt be bad if XSV got some players. Im still keeping my eye on empire. I have really high hopes for them. They got what third in Tampa? Beat out infamous and went 3 games with XSV.

Yup, it seems that way for me, too. Once he left Infamous for XSV, XSV really caught fire, and gave Dynasty lots of trouble at HB and more trouble since then, and Infamous has gone downhill. I know he's a killer on the field, maybe he's also good at keeping teams together and running smoothly.

[EDIT] - Infamous picked up several players from Ultimate, Kevin, Bryce, Naz, and Kress.

Those 4 from Ultimate were on the starting line, so that will be pretty good for Infamous. I still don't see them being the same powerhouse team they were last year though. Dynasty and XSV are going to be the top two teams, it will be interesting to see who will take the #1 spot. Arsenal, blah. They had their 15 minutes of fame, time to move on.

XSV is turning out into a dream-team, they got Mapp,Cuba, Matty, Telford, JR, Rusty, plus all the other guys I'm too lazy to mention.
As far as I'm concerned they got one of the best back lines in paintball.

I heard that the Philly Americans were talking with LaSoya to bring him in there. I doubt XSV will be the next Dynasty, my pick is for LTZ (spoiled brats...) to be the next Dynasty. I really want to see the Naughty Dogs to have a good season this year.

I read it in "On The Edge" in July PB2X. Page 52. :

"Speaking of Philly, rumor hs it they have been making offers to several top notch players. Some believe one of those players is Infamous' Chris LaSoya, although we have not heard that first hand."

I'd like to see LaSoya back in the NXL myself. Of course, I'd like to see him playing for Trauma, maybe mixing in with The Men in NPPL. Can you see it now? The DMLaSoya...ok, that needs some work...

Maybe, (I highly doubt) but just maybe he'll go back to Miami Effect.
Woldn't that be ironic?

I doubt they'd put such a high profile player with such teh suck team.

I really want to see XSV grab #1 next year, and I'd like to see avalanche beat dynasty just once......to remind us of what used to be a norm (avalanche winning).

i think XSV will have something happen to them such as a hot marker or something to one of their key players such as cuba or mapp, and it will go down hill from there

i think dynasty will continue to stay on top for a while, they rose together, they started together and they have dominated together, they are a really close nit team that doesnt have any real issues with player tensions, they inturn, play some real strong ball and will continue to.

infamous i see staying together, chris will do anything to keep his team together

arsenal will collapse, WDP just tried to put a superstar team together and it didnt work they prolly all just wanted to be numer one on the team and it collapsed

XSV has too many key players for one to go down and make them go downhill. They'd have to all die in a plane crash for that to happen.
