What more can we do to paintball. Post what you think what would be cool or what other things could we come up with. Then give a description of how it could happen. Hope this get's stickied if it get's enough replys.
Example: A 40bps loader. I think it could be done by having 14 panels and a13 volt battery.

Sorry, but all ideas I come up with go through the patent sequence first. No paintball stuff yet, but I figure, hey If I have a great idea, why not get a little out of it?

good point ladies man . . . they are people out there that will not hesitate to take your idea and make money off of it . . .
i think goggle tear aways (like they have for moto-x) would be cool so you dont have to clean your mask if you get gogged or sprayed, just peel it off . . .

Hpw about a tank that sucks in air . Like a giant fan in a 20oz tank. The result would be no more refills.

How about a gun that uses compressed air with a very small air compressor on the gun or in the grip. With each shot it will draw in air for the gun to use each shot. We wouldn't even have to use tanks anymore. The compressor would be able to draw in air fast enough so the gun could shoot 30+bps with the right loader. It probably won't work but hey, it's an idea.

A compressor that sat on the gun would not be able to draw in enough pressure quickly to fire my 150psi cocker twice in one second. In order to get a compressor that could, it would have to be really bulky, noisy, expensive, heavy, and take a lot of juice. Just stick with the tanks, aside from small explosives (or gas) or radioactive elements, they are some of the more efficient size to power products available. (and there's a problem with using the other two)

some sort of hand pump to fill tanks (like for bikes)
VeNoM
01-18-2002, 05:02 PM
LMAO, you really think you could pump in 4500 hundred pounds of pressure per square inch into my tank with a bike bump? :eyes:
UTLadiesMan
01-18-2002, 05:05 PM
Don't laugh. It's quite possible. Remember your physics? Put a large enough surface area on the pump side and you could easily do it. It might take a few days, but hey, cheaper than the $3 fill.

hehe, thanks. After seeing your icon, it took me about 10 minutes to find that site, but it was well worth it. On the one hand, I feel sorry for that bunny having to balance food on his head all the time, but on the other hand, he seems to be living a pretty good life all in all.

heat seaking paintballs, that detect body heat and will curve around trees and bunkers.
helmet power fans that are so powerful(yet quiet) that they can change the course of a paintball flying at the helmet 50 degrees, sending them past the helm
REUSABLE PAINTBALLS imagine a light plastic balls hollow on the inside, like wiffles balls just the size of paintballs and made of squishy plastic. they have microscopic holes in them, you soak the batch in a tub of liquid paintball mixture overnight, the paint soaks into the balls, you takem out, they get a dry coating on the outside, throw them in the gun, the co2 wont be strong enough to break the little outer coating, or push paint through the microscopic holes, but them hitting an object will push paint through the holes, busting them, pickem up, savem, soakem, dryem, shootem.
Itll never happen, but wouldnt that be cool?
the first 2 ideas were just jokes by the way....

they have reusuable .68 caliber "paintballs" they are not really paintballs, they are like little nerf balls, but they are really expensive . . .

A paintball shotgun that wasn't made of pvc pipe would be cool.

That sounds like what I need a gun that talks. Though it is different I don't think it will help. Especialy in woodsball where stealth is key.
I can just imagine it now.
*gun* "Reload your hopper you moron"
*gun* "Walmart didn't completely fill your CO2 your out now"
*gun* "Paintballs rejected quit being a cheap idioit buy some good ones! Shutting down to prevent user idiocy"
*gun* "Quick Rush this dood while he's refilling his hopper"
Yep we all need a talking gun;)
*note* The above is not true. This is simply for laughs

I hope someone takes my idea and runs with it: I'm still waiting for the paintball pistol that loads from a clip inserted into the grip, much like realistic pistols. It may make for an unwieldy grip size to receive the clip, and the bolt and hammer would have to switch places, but where there's a will, there's a way...

ATS makes a paintball pistol made to be a replicac of the Mac-10, but it's clip loads right in front of the grip. Their website is http://www.adtacsys.com/.

I wouldn't call it a replica myself (if yoru reffering to the AT-10). That gun looks nothing like a MAc-10. I have heald a Mac-10 so I do know. It might be the same weight & lenth & balance of one but it doesn't look like one. In my opinion it looks more like a Tec-9 with a large front clip & short barrel

That's what I meant. It was made for law enforcment or something to feel like a mac-10.
I've thought of a few things, though I'm unsure if they're possible.
An air chamber that could be released for every shot fired to add some loft to the balls, in a backspin fashion.
A barrel that adjusts electronically to the bore size of the ball in the breech - could work simultaneously with something like the anti-chop eye, but the barrel would be expensive.
And, possibly, either a spray on substance or an actual electric field that either sounds an alarm, or becomes extremely blatant when you get shot. The spray on would probably be better - a kind of substance that will emit bright colors (because of the paint) in powder form after being struck at a certain velocity.

i have an idea. How about a "paint thrower"? carry around a tank on your back, put a co2 tank in it, it shoots some paint into a small handheld gun, and is propelled out by another co2 tank.

how about a gun that has email or AIM on it so you can have a convo while youu are in your bunker. or how about flat screen tv in he back of your gun so you can watch the game and snap shoot at the same time. or put a camera on the gun so you can record what you accually shot at.

It's called a supersoaker!!!!! you could carry around a compressed air tank, and switch it on when it needs pressure. I have a great supersoaker paint recipe. Take a 100 rnd tube, put 5-8 paintballs in it (cheap one work best), fill it ALMOST full of very warm water, put lid on, shake, and you have multi purpose paint fill.

Paintball shotgun shells that can load individually into a gun. They're 68 caliber, but contain lots of little paint pellets. You could only use like an Angel or something, but maybe a custom gun could carry a rotating magazine and like 12 shells and be fully automatic. Thing would be BIG though, but great for scenario games and the like.
Paintballs without seams. You can still see a TINY seam on the PMI stuff.
Paintball "flame throwers" that put out liquid paint in a big spray, not like a Super Soaker.
Paintball hand grenades that work by popping a 12 gram when it hits the ground. They would be easily refillable since they're just paint waiting to be sprayed and the 12 grams are a lot cheaper than a squadbuster. This one is feasible guys.
I like the camera idea, it would eliminate wipers altogether.

They used to have these paint grenades that were a thin wax carboard like shell, filled with paint, and a black cat. When the black cat blew, that stuff went everywhere. They stopped making them because "it's dangerous to throw explosives at people". The 12 grams might be a nice substitution though. :P

I dunno if this is anything like that but theres a bunch of people on eBay who sell "reusable paint mines" or "reusable paint grenades"....anyone ever got one to see what its like?
