I desperatly want to start a team with someone I know. But I don't know how my parents will like it, and worst of all, i may have to sell my current gun(an x-mas present from them) to afford a new one, which I think I would need to keep up in a tourny.
My question is, what would be the best way to break the news to them(what should i say, basically). I might be able to say something like "i will keep my grades up in scool if I can", or "I will supply the money for anything I will need".

help!

thanks, Erik

wel if theyre open to you playing paintball, why wouldnt they be open to letting you start a team?

parents like good grades, and paying for it yourself is a must. and if they have a problem with you selling the gun they gave you, just inform them that youre buying a better marker with that money, so that your new gun is still part of their christmas present to you.

Get an Eblade. They're cheaper now, and they have an adapter out there for the Trilo's to accept an Eblade.

ok i'll try that. And it seems like it would work out because I could probobly sell my current gun (minus the tank) for about $300, maybe a little more. And I could sell my airsoft gun for close to $300. That would give me room to buy a new gun (Tac-One/RT ULE:love: ), and some p-ball equipment and maybe a little $ to put toward a tourny.

I though about it but i'm not sure, I could get a whole new gun for that price, $310 for E-Blade, $75 for Egg 2, $25 for trilogy adapter = $410. Although It may be a viable option if they say no on the new gun.

Reloder is fine for the moment.

Also, you can always get the new Select Fire frame from WGP.

I've been wondering the same thing about tourny's. So I told my parents: "Listen, it'll be my money. I will pay my way for this stuff. If I can't afford it, I might ask for some money. If you say yes, allowance and paycheck money will pay you back. If you say no, oh well. I won't get that tank, or no tourny this month."

Feel free to give any more ideas, if any.

You're not going to get $300 for your trilogy, sorry.

I just sold my old Trilogy Pro with Dye Stickies, Anti-siphon CO2, and all the original manuals and everything for $175 :|. I think I kinda got ripped off, but that's about as much as you get for these kinda guns.

I asked my parents ad they said i could start a team! I didn't even need to tell them that stuff I mentioned in my first post! Although i didn't ask them about a gun, but i can play walk-on games (or whatever the are called) for a while and then break it to them, shouln't be too hard, ::knock on wood::.

DOODE, save your money and buy a dragunfire compact lcd, get a better board for it, get nitrogen for it, and buy a nice barrel and a goood faast hopper. There you go, a 250$ setup that can go as fast as your fingers can.

Don't even try to sell the cocker. If you're playing in YG events, it should be fine for you. If you want to you could always do the eblade for it, or use the cocker until you have enough for an Ion or Wrath, and buy one of those.

Ok, there are a couple local tournys coming in my area at the end of summer, so i'll try to hit those and see how my gun works.
