Hi I have a TES as my back up gun and it has trouble recocking. I've read that a new valve pin would fix the problem, but what if i just bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7169058707&category=36285&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1 thanks for any help

Heyas Pkerrisn! Its been a while :)

could you please be a bit more specific about how it behaves with the recocking?
and...it has been a while, whats some of the things that you've tried already to try to fix it?

well..... to begin with, i shoot my gun and it just doesn't recock, i don't know if this helps but a while back it used to burp, then i lubed it up good and it worked for about a game, then if i shot too fast ( more than 1 trigger pull a second) it would just not recock. At this moment i shoot it and it just doesn't recock like i have no air in it. To fix it i changed o rings, a cup seal ( or something like that...it was my pro shop that recommended it), lubed it up, changed springs, and took it to my local pro shop about a dozen times

I think your reg is up too high. Check the psi on the gauge, it should be roughly *around* 400 psi. The gauge might be damaged, if the pressure was up too high, so turn the reg down slowly, and try shooting after half turn or so.

i've tried that numerous times, oh and if im getting a little over 1000 shots off a 88ci tank then i have a leak right.....could that be the reason

the valve MIGHT be backwards, and the valve stem isnt moving because its hitting the "white part" or the spring that holds the valve stem is too "hard" for the striker to move it.

so does that mean it does have something to do with the vavle.....well the guys at the pro shop were the last ones to touch it but i can check.....

nope pretty sure its right

if the reg isnt high, then it must be the valve. It cant move it forward to allow air into the gun. What really really sucks is that i took my cocker to a proshop once to "time it" but they didnt do anything. Some of the screws were even missing on the gun.

According to www.ottersccustoms.com ....

http://www.ottersccustoms.com/air.html

if your tank is 3000 psi, then your getting the right amount of shots out of it.

man that really sucks.....did u chew em out? anyways so should i just replace my valve with the one above

im not fully fully sure if a new valve would solve the problem. Ive never had that problem with my gun, so im not exactly sure how to fix it :( its "late" and ppl on paintball review are probally sleeping.... Check back tomorrow for help from other much more experienced paintballers

what psi 4500?

it worked for about a game, then if i shot too fast ( more than 1 trigger pull a second) it would just not recock.

the NDZ HP valve pin (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=sxGeZIoystaebsiqy6dezICUu2D6PiWdwmQ=?Pro ductID=xmKsFAY7CCcAAAD8quOLdoWL) fixed that for me

that ebay store you linked with both the pin and the valve said free shipping, that would be better than just the valve pin and shipping from anywhere else

other things I tried that helped, but didn't fix it...

sanding the noid "punch" (the thing that pops out and pushes the sear)
polishing striker/bolt/valve pin
spring and shim kit
messing with the pressure
stretching the sear spring

what is the guage above your vertical adapter reading, and what kind of velocity are you getting at the chrono?
have you checked that rubber seal on your striker/hammer?

Pkerrisn

well i really have no air in my tank so i cant really check my gauge and i cant remember the last time, volocity last time stayed between 280-290 and as far as the rubber seal....i have no idea how do i check

Pull out the striker and check the flapper seal on the end.

ok, well if your chrono readings are still the same, then at least we can rule out the reg, since its staying consistant.

nice pics there half-step! (you surprise me with how thurough you are!)
yeah, check that seal on the end of the striker and make sure that its not messed up.

Did you lube the valve o rings well? Also would not hurt to put a drop or two of oil in the valve pin and cup seal.

Air it up and dry fire the marker a few times to work the valve in. Also, make sure the marker is cocked before you air it up.

i lubed it a little, but after reading what u posted i lubed it a lot, now it stoped leaking (though i noticed that my front block is now leaking....but that is easily fixed), but it sputters....not only does it sputter (my hand got caught in it and now im trying to stop the bleeding) but it sounds as if something is rubbing against something like a zipper. so i decided just to take it to my local proshop 2morrow. so i'll tell u how that goes

well i got it back from the shop today, aired it up and it recocked for the first 50 shots then it burped and recocked. i oiled it up and messed with the reg but nothing worked. so then i put co2 on it and it worked! after 100 shots though it uncocked. any ideas? well i just came into some money ( 1,000), yeah sold my ccm s5 too so would it be better just to get rid of this head ache?
