Spyder Imagine 2k4

Hi all,

I'm totally new to paintball and I played it for a few times and am willing to spend money to buy my own gun.

I looked at some guns and the price ranges. My decision came to the Spyder Imagine 2k4, because it looks like a good gun for a cheap value since I don't want to spend a lot on my first gun.

First of all, i wanted to know, if that gun is okay for a beginner ?!?
2. I heard it has a really ****ty barrel, so i'll probably get a better one too, but i don't know which one will fit, and which size i should get, does size even matter?!? what will the size change?

Yeah, an Imagine is a great starting gun. And for barrel size, get anything between 12"-16" and make sure it is Spyder threaded and it will fit. The CP 1 piece and the J&J ceramic are some inexpensive barrels that work great.

get the black imagine it has a extra 6 burst mode 4 the same price.just get a new barrel.i got a 16in 1pc CP barell and it beats the s*** out of the stock barrel;)

The Imagine won't let you down, except for the stock barrel, but all guns that I have used/tried have had a crappy stock barrel.

But anyways, the Imagine is a great starter gun.

i would go with the imagine LED because you get semi auto 3 round burst 6 round burst and full auto andt the imagine 2k4 doesnt come with 6 round burst. the display on the LED looks alot better too

It doesn't matter, LED or "2k4" it is essentially the same, besides burst is pretty useless, just walk the trigger.

look into the lapco barrels as well.the spyder stock barrels are crap.

Get an imagine 2k4 if you have a low budget, actually its perfect for a starter marker considering actionvillage (http://www.actionvillage.com) offers it for around $70 last I checked.

its like $85 4 the green 1 $108 4 the blue 1 and $108 4 the black 1 except the black 1 also has an extra 6 burst mode wich the other 1s dont have(by the way theres 2 differnt green 1s.1 costs $108 and shoots up 2 14 bps and the other green 1 is like $85 but it only shoots 13 bps)bye the black 1 :tup: (not the green 1s or the blue1 :finger:)the black 1:tup:

make sure you get grips and a barrel early. when i got mine i heard of how bad the stock grips were so i got those asap b/c i didnt want to risk my electros in the grip. also make sure you get a decent barrel. progressives are good but if you get a chop their accuracy sux. try looking at cp, j&j, or a stiffi

There's a reason for that....

The blue and green ones are the 04 models, while the black ones are the LED models.


(This isn't concerning momoney)

How will 6-burst help you? Almost any field won't allo0w the bursts or autos.
