I like the look of paintball guns. When someone sees a paintball gun for the first time, a lot of them say "wow, thats not what i expected it to look like." most of the time, the become more intersted in the sport.

i love the paintball guns nowadays. somepeople mite not like the looks of specific guns, like i think the shutter looks a lot better than a bushmaster or something. but a lot of times people are wowed by paintball guns just like mewroq said. i realy dont like paintball guns looking real. it gives it a bad rep, and parents will be more against it.

yeah i mean a parent wont mind if their kid has a bright red and chrome finished kind of different looking gun on their dresser as apposed to a gun made to look like a weapon made to kill or incapacitate terrorists

well to tell you guys what i think i think a red or chrome finish would be awesome like electrichead said, but i think a lot of guns look messed up like a piece of paper that just went threw the wash i just dont like the looks of PB guns but i still like the sport.

Not all paintball guns look "wierd". If you want an MP5 like 'gun.. get an AT85. Its a clipfed 'gun and is used by law enforcement and USMC for training purposes. It is made to emulate the mp5.

If you don't like the way certain guns look, there are always alternatives. Thats why there are custom options like custom milling etc.

I like the wierd looking guns. It gives the buyer a lot of room for their imagination. I am not to big on paintguns looking like real guns just for the safety reasons. The more creative the better. By the way, have you seen some of the custom automags that look like futuristic phasers from some space war type movie?

There are guns for both tastes. I really don't recomend getting a gun that looks to real. I don't like the idea of having a tail light out....and a cop sunddenly seeing what looks like an M16 in my backseat...just me I guess. If you want something that looks real, look for a M1 A1 or M16 A2. You'll pay through the nose for them, because the only people who buy them are usually military.(the same people who pay $500 for a hammer, and $1000 for a tiolet seat.) I don't know what your problem is with the cocker. I think that it is one of the best looking guns around. Plus you can customize them to look awesome.....to each his own I guess.

A fugly gun is the Blazer...but thats all thats bad about that gun. Looks dont determine how the gun will play, some are hideous(personally think space mags are), others just look sweet. Thats why there are so many aftermarket parts that will help appearance as well.

Personally, I think the people who want a PB gun that looks real, want a real gun, and probably would prefer shooting people with bullets instead of RPS Marbalizers.

There's a guy who comes to a field I play at who has an M-16 replica. He decks out in full military regalia, including a kevlar army helmet, when he plays. I find that a bit spooky. Like he's going to have some bad flashback and think we're all Viet Cong or Iranian Imperial guards.

I own an intimidator and If you havent seen one yet, take a look and you'll probably agree it's one of the most unique looking guns on the market. I hated it when I first saw it, but I ended up really liking the look and picking one up for myself. I dunno how it ended up looking so screwy, maybe Bob Long went to the drawing board after havin one to many beers, I couldnt tell you, but it sure is unique.

Well, Bob did use a bunch of Millenium bodies to make the main body of the Intimidator. I think it looks all right. I really don't like the grip.

It depends on your local ordinances and laws. Each city, county, or state has different rules about pneumatic weapons like paintball guns. Where you can carry them, how you can carry them, and such. I honestly don't know what the laws are exactly here. I just keep my gun in a bag in my trunk while traveling, and in a closet at my house when I am not playing. I figure that that is the safest thing I can do, and I probably won't get in any trouble that way.

As far as home defense I prefer to use the real thing, I don't want an intruder to get pissed because I shot him with a paintgun. If I hit him I don't want him to get up ;)

Same theory you used...a guy walks in in the dark you shoot him, he doesn't now what happened, and so on...OK first of all this guy is coming into your house. Very good chance he is armed. Also a good chance he is high on something or drunk. Just like with pepper spray, attackers that are enraged or drugged don't react like you or me. It would be like shooting a grizzly with a .22. You would just piss him off, and he would definitely attack you. I hope none of us have to make this decision ever, but I would seriously think twice before firing a nonlethal weapon at an intruderfor your own safety.

I have a bb air rifle that fires anywhere from 3-10 shots per minute, and a paintball gun that fires 5-8 shots per second. Which one should i shoot at a guy who is breaking into my house?

I'm going with the paintball gun ... it's the only thing that passes as a weapon in my house (with the exception of that 8-inch hunting knife I have, but that's for in-close work.) I've been paintballing for a while, and a shot from 10 feet in the gut/chest/arm still hurts like hell. I can only imagine what a groin shot feels like. And a face shot with no mask ... OUCH! :eek:

Of course, if they hear the balls rattlin' around in the hopper, may be a different story.

if u put ur electro or fast semi auto....if u shoot....10 bps.....in the face or groin...or temple...u will knock him out. empty ur hopper on his groin and he will be out! empty on his face....he'll be on the floor screaming..empty it on his temples......he'll be unconscious. i also have an air rifle...which can shoot through a magazine point blank. that magazine is.....like 100x stronger than skin...and my air rifle can prolly shoot into a persons body....shoot...i sound like some juvenile murderer. i think i'll go play with my pokemon cards now. jk
