I just got a tippmann 98 totally stock for 40 bucks in excellent condition and i was wondering if i need a regulator or something special to run it on hpa because thats all i got. OR can it run on hpa without anything on it?

That is only if you use a lp tank.

The Tippmann markers work great with high pressure Nitrogen (compressed air). You don't have to do anything to the marker. Just screw the tank on and you're good to go.

That's almost the same as nitrogen. It works the same, and is 78% nitrogen compared with 100%.

Yea I know, I was just makin sure cause I might convert if one of my buddies gets a compressor.

yeah.. if they didnt cost so much.. cheap ones are like 2-3k and work mediocre... booster kits are popular, but may blow seals on fill nipple, and they heat up the tank so much, u loose like 400+ psi from your tank when it cools.]
