Which of these would be the best for a first gun? I play speedball. Thanks and i couldnt figure out where this goes so if it doesnt belong here, sorry.

The ION is a good beginner gun IF you have the money, so if you can't pay for it look into gettimg a spyder imagine package.

The ION is only good if you can afford it. I mean you buy all this stuff and realize you don't have money to buy paint. That would suck.

From what it looks like all of your choices are around $100, but I suggest that you dont get any of those. A good first marker would be the spyder imagine. This was my first marker and it worked great.

What if i could get the mongoose lcd for about $65? I mean for the price and 20 bps it seems to be the best for me, but is it reliable. This is the original mongoose btw, not the reincarnation.

dont get the mongoose. i say go with the ext, gti, or an imagine

and dont go with an ion yet. if you continue playing speedball for a while (i mean like 6 months or longer) look into it but its too expensive for a starter gun. you would need the gun which is 280, some HPA which runs anywhere from 80 to 300, a fast loader which will set you back another 80 bucks. and since this your first gun i assume you dont have a mask so it would cost you a lil bit more so your looking at spending over 400 bucks on your first gun, so dont get the ion just yet.

same thing happened to a guy i know.for no reason one day it stopped working.he sold it and bought an a-5.

The model 98 is the best beginners gun, you can't break it, it's easy to maintain if you somehow do break it and set up is mind numbingly easy. If you have an E-spyder you need a revi of some sorts, even then you had better be able to slow it down or it will be chop city. Sear trippers are under rated... but I still don't think they are the best guns to learn with.

M98 if you're not willing to take care of anything, spyder imagine if you are willing to take 5 minutes and learn how it works. Be honest though... some people aren't when they make that choice.

Spyder is more upgradeable though :tup: and $62 if you go the refurbished route, so it's cheaper too.

It's easy to say a newb will take care of their gun.... but in reality most don't. Hell, I had a noob this past Sunday using an extra, he didn't tighten the grip frame up properly so when he bumped the gun it cycled full auto. Keep in mind it did that in the staging area. There just plain isn't much that can happen to a 98.

Well i will definately take care of whatever i winde up with thats for sure. To much money just to let fall apart. Thanks for the help guys. I am going to play friday, and then will decide whether or not i will be getting a gun (they only use reballs now so want to see how thats gona play out). I originally wanted an imagine but changed my mind but i think i will go with that. thanks
