A buddy of mine is opening up a paintball store in a couple months, and he's asked me to work there. Now, I'm wondering what kind of stuff I would have to know to work there, to be able to help customers with anthing they need. Now, I already know a lot about paintball, more than anyone I've ever met, which includes field owners and such. But are there any certains procedures or anything like that I would need to know?

If the store is going to offer Co2 and HPA refills I suggest you learn how to do it properly. Just incase you do it and something goes wrong you wont be liable.
Erm Knowing the Pros and Cons of every marker you sell. Try to give an unbiased opinion of what the customer dont sell a 12 year old rec-baller/weekend warrior an Angel just cos it makes the shop more money - sometimes customer loyalty is better than making money in the long run.

I would say be very honest with your costomers and help them the best you can.
Example: When I went to the local store I just asked how much a flatline costs. The guy started telling me it is kinda interesting to have the extra range and then started telling a whole bunch of drawbacks. I desided not to get the flatline yet but I still intend on getting it. But now I get just about all of my paintball stuff from there simply because I know they wont rip me off!

For HPA tanks you could ask someone like BOC or a scuba shop to show you how. For Co2 I think somewhere on warpig they have classes, i think, i only have a very vague memory of that.

try to remember that 90-95% of all the people you talk to have no idea what they are talking about but think they do, this is what happens in my freinds store andd when you try to correct them they think you are trying to trick them or you are an idiot.

That's why I don't work at a paintball store. I would rather be right then make money. ;)
Seriously, several times I've been in the store to pick something up, and they tell me what I'm trying to do isn't correct and that I don't know my marker at all. Guess what? I buy it, and it does exactly what I thought it would. Oh, and once while getting my tank filled (it was busy in there that day), I helped a newbie kid pick out a good marker for his needs and he got it (b-day present), and I didn't even get a "thanks" or a commision  (they probably wanted to sell him the Angel instead of the 98c I suggested)... :|
