getting my matrix at the end of the week (secondhand) and have a few questions?

my matrix has the big silver bee hive style reg on the front should i buy the new reg that comes on the new matrix?

what is the trinity reg? is it the reg that sits under the barrel and stops the bolt chopping?

what is the difference between the new and old chip and how can u tell the difference?

check with the matrix center. I think they should sell just centerflag regs. but really whatever floats ur boat on the reg. I'm leavin the beehive on though.
the trinity reg does indeed go under the barrel. it lowers the psi from 180ish to about on average 95 psi. it can also somewhat (not a whole lot) adjust fps.
there's the flip switch kind chip. and there's the push button kind of chip. those are the two generations of guns that are out there right now.
