I recently discovered that I have gotten a virus that sends an email to anyone I have ever emailed so fi you get an email by

"I_Am_Not_A_Bear"
or
ummmm@earthlink.net

with the subject "Re:"
DO NOT OPEN IT

What type of virus is it? You'd better hope to god that it's not CIH or something equally bad, otherwise all your reciepients will be hella pissed!

it was some half assed trojan. just replicated itself and emailed itself to everyone i've emailed, and installs a trojan on my system.
Not that I really care :)

Go to http://www.symantec.com then go to their virus removal tools (small font in bottom right)


its called badtrans32@mm something like that, get the remover for it took like 5 min to scan my system but it cleaned it right up

LoL, well I meant that it wouldnt really do much to me :)

besides I got nothin to hide, what're they gonna find out my pbreview password? o no! :laugh:

can my system run without kernal32.exe? i think i got a virus and kernal32.exe was using all my processer power all the time. i used that virus removal tool, and it said it found one file that was infected and it deleted one file. i restart my computer seems like the problem is fixed, but at restart i get some crap about kernal32.exe being missing. this just happened so i'm not sure if i'm gonna have anymore problems but i would appreciate some responces if i do.

Do I have to download this, I mean I did not open the virus I just deleted it. If I do still have to get it which one do I choose?
