Well, the angel's got a high ROF, good consistency, and the angel logo, as well as a massive price tag. Low maintenance is also nice. Timmy has a more easily adjustable trigger (similar to the bushey), after the low pressure mod it has less kick than an angel, equally as consistent, can sustain a ROF as high as an angel can but without having to worry about chopping. More involved maintenance than an angel, but still very easy. Stand out in a crowd. Though it looks bigger, it's only 1/4 of an inch taller than an angel, which aint much. Backed up By Bob Longs tech support, that has been amazing to all their customers, replacing solenoids and the like with no questions asked. WDP is in england, so shipping is an arm and a leg, and service is good, but not as good. I was in a position like yours, and price didnt really matter, and I chose the timmy, and I'm happy I did. The angels very nice, but I consider a couple of guns to be better (the timmy is one) and the timmy costs a good deal less. Hope you make the right choice :)

A Timmy has all the different fire modes as well as an LCD. The old angel is hot **** and I've never fired a Timmy b4. But from wot ElTwitcho is sayin it sounds good. If u really dont care about money then buy a higher class angel with all the b****ks. Otherwise hmmmm. Man It's a tough call and I cant decide 4 u :) But Im going 2 buy a Timmy.
Does El Twitcho sound a little bit biast to ne1 else???
oh well I don't care, I have Timmy too!

I have tried angels, shockers, f5's and any other electro. I finally got to try a timmy and I was impressed. I will always love the f5 more than any other electro just cuz the trigger is so damn short (cant get it shorter). The timmy is really great it is fast, doesnt chop but I was having bad chrono ratings (could have just been the one i tried). After trying the timmy I first found that the trigger is a little too mushy for my liking, although I can rip on it I found it much too sloppy and mushy for my liking which is where the angel and my shocker (doc rip kit mmmmmm) come into play with a short but crisp trigger instead of a mushy short trigger. This is all my opinion and opinions are like *******s everyone's got one.

Of course I'm biased, who isnt? That's why we have multiple people posting here, I give my opinion, and then someone gives a contrasting opinion, giving you both sides of the argument. That's my opinion, and I welcome someone to disagree with me, that way both sides get said. As for being inconsistent, well the timmy can be a b*tch to set up if ya dont know what you're doing, and it took me a couple outings before I could get it dialed in to a point I was happy with, and I get +-2 nowadays. It's just about learnin the gun, as with any gun

Dont worry, i was formerly a Spyder owner. Any gun you buy when going past the Blowback level is going to be kind of scary at first. What I'm trying to say, is that any gun is gonna be confusin to set up at first, dont worry you will learn, if you went angel you'd be going through the same stuff (270 parts, ouch). The timmy isnt a gun that requires alot of knowledge to set up, it just takes trial and error. You have to achieve a good balance between the High pressure regulator, and the low pressure regulator. The reason mine gave me trouble was because I was uninformed how to properly set up my timmy, and I figured I'd turn my HP reg in all the way, and back it off to get down to the right velocity. That's the wrong way. My LP couldnt get high enough pressure to open the valve properly, and even though I thought the velocity was set high as it could go, it wasnt shooting fast enough to register at the chrony. Once I backed it off, and did some trial and error, I got it shooting nicely. Part of my problem was that I didnt use any guages, so it was guess and check to see what pressure I was using. Guages would make this a lot easier for you. All I did to get really good concistency (it was still pretty great before hand) was to get a low pressure spring for my vigilante and do the LP mod. To do the LP mod, you just need an air source or inline regulator that will go as low as 180 psi. Then the gun becomes even easier to set up, and it has a bit less recoil. Dont worry, you will learn to set up the gun, and you wont have too much trouble either, and in the end you are gonna be very happy you bought one. Any problems you had, I'm sure I could help you with anyhow

I have just sold my m98 about 2 weeks ago for a little over 300 with flatline. I am very interested in getting a Timmy(which I leanred about 10 mins ago) with my money.(I work too)
But I do have a few questions:
1 - What is the Low Pressure mod and where can I get it?
Also what is the dwell settings?
Plus does anyone know where to get a timmy for under 725? And how does the paint hold up against scratches?
Did Bob fix the bolt problems?

Read my post above for what the LP mod is. Scratches I have gotten none, and I've done my share of diving headfirst. Bolt problems have been fixxed for around 5 or 6 months now. Dwell refers to the time in miliseconds that the hammer is forward along with the bolt, and the valve is open releasing gas to propel the ball

ElTwitcho, what is a good regulator to add to the timmy so it would have lp? plus i need it to be able to have a renote setup. Are there any new grips out? Plz help. Thanks. Could any of you email me with your replies? I really need help. I am most likely getting this gun and I want it to work its best.

Someone redisgned the trigger frame so that the handle is closer to the ASA where your reg/gas through goes, and it was a standard 45, so it would take 45 grips, stickies included. However, nobody is available to mill the grips, even though plans are all made, I'm looking into doing it myself, as I know I could get the milling done, pretty cheap, and with minimal effort, it's just the actual tapping of the holes for the screws that I'm wondering how long would take, and how much that would increase cost (there are a whole poopload of holes). Otherwise, nope, no custom grip frames. The grips are very comfortable shapewise, though if the plastic surface bugs you, gloves own (I like gloves better anyhow, so it dont bug me). I use the vigilante and never get shoot down, nor does my velocity fluctuate much at all. I've heard great things about the conquest from macDev on timmies, and the new messiah from AA also looks good. Hope this helps, and sorry, no custom grips as of yet. new guns will all come witht he thicker carbon fiber grips though, whic are more comfy than plastic, and clear grip panels are oyut, but like I said, same original shape.
