I just got my o3m in the mail Saturday and I realized it doesn't seem like it has a safety but since I don't know a great deal about cockers I figured I would just ask here to check, if none of ya'll know I'll send a pm to the guy I bought it from

you may have to wait till loon/wulf1010 come on. I am pretty sure that he would know.

Nope, no saftey.
Most autococker, or paintball guns in gerernal, dont have safetys.

with no safety, i wouldnt really run around the house with that, cause if you drop it (like my friend did) it can discharge.

yeah, and just about everybody hates it when their cocker discharges when they don't want it to.

seriously tho. yeah. safety first. tho most electronic markers have an electronic safety mode (like we use it...)

yeah, i like the draguns for that reason....actualy now that i think about it. almost any gun with an LCD screen has a safe mode. Intimidators being a notable exception

oh okay, so most if not all non-lcd upper end guns don't have a safety, good to know I just got to be careful with my o3m then cuz I always discharge my TES when I forget to put on the safety luckily I always have a barrel condom on.
but the trigger on my Tes is very touchy unlike the o3m

hey this is kinda off topic, but you still have your tes?

some of the led ones do have a safety as well. like my dragunfly has three different colors (modes). safety (green) fire (red) and full auto (yellow). or safety red, fire green, something like that.

led matracies dont, lcds do, and i belive the tadao, and Anderson boards dont...um the led timmys dont (but neither do the lcds). My led angel didnt. All draguns do. DM4s dont??? im not sure there. My race gun does. My tribal dosent, my vikings dont. My emag does, my o3 does....older shockers dont, im not sure about the new ones.

er...angels do.....cant think of any other guns right off the top of my head.....any thing powered by a was board wont have a "safe" mode as far as i know.

I dont belive the predator/morlock offer that feature either.

thats good to know
you know the safety on paintball guns isn't something you really think about an awful lot

teswkit: yes I still have my Tes, why?

does the o3m have a cam adjuster ? I have a cocker with a hinge trigger on it, and it comes stock with a cam adjuster. I just called in, and they sent me free replacement parts to make the cam adjuster into a safety. Im not sure if they are the same though...-

no the o3 mech frame is more like that found on the psychobalistics, or dye cockers.....it has a point for the saftey (if i rember correctly) but none is present. You could probobly use a wgp cam aduster or saftey on a dragun frame, again no promises.

I don't really want one I just wanted to know if it had one and I am so ingorant about cockers I couldn't find it

rascal- yeah. I know what you mean. its like....a whole different kind of thing. but still...not. :eyes:
lol yeah, I've got a lot to learn about them too.

*grumbles* now...a reg, a drop and my tank fixed and maybe I could start shooting mine.......

darke: did you intend on buying your drallion as aproject gun or did all those problems go wrong after you bought it?

DarkeWolf
08-02-2005, 02:18 PM
dragunfly, not drallion. the only thing that its gonna have in it is a drallion lcd board.
I got it as a project gun. It didnt come with a reg or drop, and have been having to throw cash in other directions instead of into getting it ready to shoot.
the only REAL problem that I've had with it so far (cause well...it doesnt shoot yet, lol) is getting the screws holding the board out. apparently the previous owner had the same idea that I did, about upgrading the led. he couldnt get them out, and stripped them.

but a friend of mine is gonna take it for a while and take a dremel (I dont have one) to those screws so that a flathead screwdriver can get them out.

Basically, when the One board comes in, its gonna need a capacitor soldered to it. he's got one in his dragunfire that he's gonna swap into the one board, in exchange for my TES board to upgrade his 'fire with. For the eye, and the 20 bps cap.

my bad I just remembered you saying something about a drallion board so I though that is what you had
anyway, sounds like one helluva swap and everyone will make out well
I know how anxious you are to use it I have got my new gun in and can't shoot it because I don't have nitro and I can't get my co2 A/S'd till sat.

wulf1010
08-02-2005, 03:52 PM
if your just gonna be goofing in the back yard or something, you can shoot your o3m with strait co2 a few times. Just dont run a whole tank through it LOL.

pbrascal37
08-02-2005, 03:56 PM
oh I didn't know that I am gonna go run around the corner and get my extra co2 tank from my buddies house then I can't wait to shoot that joker

wulf1010
08-02-2005, 03:59 PM
hahaha, right on.

pbrascal37
08-02-2005, 04:09 PM
damnit...
I went over there and asked for my extra tank and my friend said it doesn't have any air in it and I was like WHAT:eek: and he said "remember last week when Brian(one of our teem-mates) got his gun (a mongoose II), you said we could use it to check out his gun and everthing)

I screwed it in to see if it had enough air to fire a few shots off... it was enough to cock it but now even evough to get it to fire

ahhhhh:pissed: I guess I will get half a fill tommorow so I don't have too much air to waste before Sat. when I get it A/S's

wulf1010
08-02-2005, 05:59 PM
ahh bummer, ive got sorta the same story today. I went to get my scuba tank filled, and the guys were doing Nitrox, so i have to wait for tomarow to pick it up.

Rascal- yeah its gonna be a pretty good deal for us.
I got that switch casing and the trigger today. thanks a LOT. that trigger looks kinda cool :D

meh...speaking of tanks....I still gotta send mine in to crossfire to get it fixed :(

pbrascal37
08-03-2005, 02:56 PM
oh okay darke, yeah it's not my favorite trigger I have made but with some filing and sanding it could be awesome just make sure you get some really small washers for it if you are going to use it

btw kinda off topic but it's my thread :P My dad got me a ball bearing from work yesterday and I am gonna put it on my Lexan trigger

well as far as safety's go I just gotta be more careful where my fingers are at cuz I get antsy when waiting for refs and stuff to get games started

DarkeWolf
08-03-2005, 03:08 PM
whats a ball bearing do? I've heard of them in triggers before, but dont know where they go, or what it does for them.

lol I'm starting to get a collection of clear triggers now. I've got the wolfpack trigger that I havent gotten around to putting in, and now this lexan one that you sent.
btw...where do you get your lexan? we'd kinda like to price shop.

lol me, I just gotta watch out for accidentally shooting it when I'm carrying it around off the field.

pbrascal37
08-03-2005, 03:53 PM
it is supposed to make the trigger pull smoother I think I have never tried it before but I want to try it since I have one

The lexan was something I had lying around my garage that my dad had gotten a bunch of years ago from work

I don't really like the look of a clear trigger but I used this craft paint on it and it worked and looks pretty good

DarkeWolf
08-03-2005, 07:52 PM
I'm still trying to figure out where the bearing goes. lol.

ah. I see. well so much for us finding some cheaper lexan, lol.

I guess its just personal opinion. I think the clear triggers look kinda cool.

I am planning on drilling a larger hole (the size of the bearing) where the pin goes through the trigger and epoxying the bearing into place in the trigger and just putting the pin through the center of the bearing and seeing what happens as long as the pin and the hole in the bearing are almost the same size it should work

here check this out this guy put one in a custom delrin trigger
...if I can find it...
gosh i can't find it i guess better luck next time
