I was just thinking about this... Ever took a good look at an M16 or M4 or etc... you'll notice there is a bolt cover that swings open during firing or when it is retracted(the bolt ),This cover keeps dirt outta the gun, ill show you a pic.... any ways I thoght what if you can make a sort of thing for the tippmann 98c , that covers the bolt like the rocket cocker. This will take time to make if possible,but a TRUE 1 of a kind part. Take a good look at a ANY type of m4 or m16 by buling the charging handle at a gunstore, some hav them some dont. its hard to explain how it works in text but take a look at how it works and maybe you can beat me at trying to make one... this would work wonders and be highly intresting to see, you may need to make a top charging handle. AND iI JUST THOUGHT OF THIS TOO, What If you cut the slits onto the exposed part of the tippmann bolt just like the M16 bolt!?!?!?! THATS COOL...

Wouldn't it be kind of useless to have a flippy bolt cover since on a paintball gun there are no bullet casings that need to fly out?

basically i thought it would be a neat idea to have a m16 bolt cover to cover the 98 bolt that swings out for firing and u push back when not shooting. it sounded cool but it would take a lot of self trust, unless you can find tippmann reciever halves

You definitely can find receiver halves. Tippmann sells them, and eBay every now and then has someone selling them. I had to get new receiver halves, because mine chipped.

on an m16 or an m4 the only time the cover stays closed is before you fire. after you fire the first shot it stays open. therefore it would be useless other than for looks. the reason why i say useless is because it would serve no other purpose than to be there and look "cool". im in the army so im kinda familiar with m16's and m4's. it wouldnt save you from getting dirt in your gun and thats about it. i think it would be a very nice touch to your marker but other than that it would serve no real purpose.
