What is the difference between the 12V loader w/o the X-board, and the 12V w/ the X-board? Thanks, Jay

Well the 12v without x-board has a delay in the system so when the eye senses no paint to when the paddles start rotating there is a delay. Depending on the marker you have this can mean chop chop.

The 12v with x-board has gotten rid of that delay, they fly. It is definately helpful. For instance I have one without one...mine is on its way...and I was chopping paint as soon as I hit about the 6-7 ball (the paddles should have kicked in a long time ago). So what I did was I borrowed a 12v w/x-board in it and boom....solid stream off paint.

You can't deny that.

Can you install the X-board yourself, or do you have to send your hopper somewhere?

i would imagine it would be quite simple to install the X-board (coming from an electronically experience point of view, that is).

Well the x-board can be bought seperately and all it takes to install it is to disconnect the old board from the connectors and connect the x-board. It is that simple. It uses all the same old motor and eyes, so its just like a plug and play type thing. If you currently don't have a rev at all, all the new VL revs are coming with the x-boards installed inside them.

And the paint feeding into the bad, if you have an x-board it should continually work untill you are out of paint. When there is no paint the loader props should continue to spin being that the sensors will not sense any paint in the feed tube.

So the revvy only runs when balls are dropping, that means when you're not firing it's not making any noise right? I play mostly rec/woods so sometimes it's important to be quiet. When the revvy is revvying :) (spinning) it's not louder than the marker is it?

Nope it is quiet. No were near the noise level of the rickochet. And no it doesn't spin when you aren't shooting.

My i suggust instead of getting a X-board, spend a few extra bucks and get a board from Wicked Air Sports (http://www.wickedairsportz.com/products/turborev.htm) I just got mine today and i tested it out. OMFG this thing is sweet, turned my 12 volt revy into a paintfeeding freakhouse!! i havent feild tested it but so far i am very pleased and it seems to be very strait forward. Plus the new LED is pimp! :D i got mine through http://tracerpaintball.com/ there a great deal there. execlent product if i must say so my self.

See I think both are good products and both drastically increase the rates of fire that you can get up to on your 12v loader, BUT the only thing is that the x-board is only 10 bucks american as opposed to the turbo rev which is 34 bucks I believe.(its in that range) So you are saving alot of cash. But whatever toots your whistle. I just got my x-board and it sails. Also just sent it in to get a blender mod, oh mama those things rock.

Sorry, but I've really got to reccomend the Turborev with Vortex impeller. For $40, your old 9V revvy becomes THE loader of choice for most people. Mine loads at 13 BPS from start to finish.
