I'm wondering if anyone has gotten their paws on one of the BT Apex barrels (http://bentippmann.com/bt_newsite/f_b_apex.html) yet? I stumbled upon the barrel quite by accident the other day, but since then I have discovered they're sold here in Canada now. If they're anything like a Flatline (ie. have decent performance qualities), I'm definately having one!

Imagine a Flatline without the pesky barrel shroud...

1: this thread has been done before. do some searching

2: you dont need the shroud on the flatline

yeah but the apex installs like a regular barrel i think.you wont have to worry about it being on correctly.

Our super mod, Lopez, was quite impressed when he saw it in action. Much like the Flatline I guess. We shall have to wait and see how it is for other folks to get an accurate impression about it's performance.

Idk if its worth the money, i mean, it says you can make it hook a paintball to get a "previously unreachable" opponents, and I bet you could, but it would be a waste of time to sit there and dial in the exact spex of where your enemy is. And then what happens when you take fire from another opponent in the opposite direction? Maybe a concealed sniper could put its abilitys to good use as long as the opponent does'nt see him. Also, the ad portrays a shot going straight, then when the shot is parallel from the opponent, it make a 90 degree hook and then travels on to hit the opponent 3 feet from there. Yea, thats appears to be a load of bulls**t.

i dont see point in the apex or flatlines... if they do shoot straight.. distance doesnt matter. once a ball gets to a certain point it loses so much momentum and it just bounces, or drops. i dont care if it shoots 250 ft. when the ball hits me from that far it isnt going to break, unless maybe its the most brittle ball on the market, but then the ball may not even leave the barrel if u know what i mean.

I just bought one a day or two ago. I tested it out, and it performes just as well or better than the flatline when it comes to distance, and it seemed to be more accurate. People with flatlines can shoot curveballs too, it's just easier with the apex since you can turn the adapter at the end.

You can adjust the level of spin, and turn the spin completely off by moving a switch back and forth. I had an unusual number of ball breaks, but I was using lower-end paint. I can't wait to try it out with high quality stuff.

Now that this is available and it can fit any gun, I'm going to be selling my whole A5 setup. Thank you for some wonderful times flatline, but It's time I move on.

Our store was the first to have them in stock in the United States. They are pretty cool barrels. You can shoot around bunkers to hit people.

I just tried it out again with some evil tonight, and it was fantastic. Very accurate using the backspin, and you can get a lot of distance. No ball breaks this time.
