Why most people laugh is because VL=BE=Most things suck. But, another reason they may laugh is because there are better beginner guns IMO.
P.S. Spell everything out.

Not everything VL/BE makes sucks, as you so eloquently but it. My 3 Raptors work just fine. My Genesis also works fine. SO does my StringRay I. Granted, there may be better markers available but one has to consider how often are they going to play, what style(woods, speed or rec[combo of woods and speed]) they are going to play and how much they are willing to spend. Just because you don't agree with what he wants, doesn't mean it isn't worth while to him.

I could really care less what gun you have as long as it allows you to play. Ok I admit I'm pretty gullible I listen to the BE horror stories a lot. I don't think the trad is bad one of my friends has it.

The Triad has a long trigger pull and a generally "cheap" feel to it. Other blowbacks in a similar price range outclass it in durability, longevity, and comfort. However, the Triad can be modified to this level.

Untrue, they can't be turned into E-markers, and other things.

There is an egrip for the orion but it is capped at 7bps. Although I'm sure you could figure out a way to put a spyder e grip on a triad. I doubt it would be that hard. But all in all the triad is cheap and low quality. A friend of mine has one and I can truthfully say it sucks lol.

Anything can practically modified to work on anything. It's just usually a matter of drilling and sometimes modifying or making a new sear. I wouldn't WANT to do it, I'm just saying its possible.
