I'm looking to buy a new board and I just read the WAS manual and it said you would have to put shims on a long detent, but it dosent say anything about a short detent. If you have 2 short detents you wouldnt have to do this right.

One more question can you use Shocker detents on and Impulse?

Right...with short detents (non-vision) you don't have to use the shims. And yes...you can use Shocker detents on an Impulse, aswell as Nerve.

When your filling out the metal for the eye how hard is it to screw it up and break the gun?

well really it isnt. i dont see how you can permemently screw up your gun if you have half a brain. just take a file or a long thin metal screw with fine threads (i used that and acutally perefer it....did it twice and it works very well) and take your time. make shure it is completely 100% filed down. i mnea you cant see anything in there anymore. cause if there is the slightest bit left in there the eye will be screwey, ive seen it happen. just take your time. its not hard. it does take patience cause it does take a while.

:nod: or if you have a dremel and a steady hand, you can do it in about 5 seconds. very simple. just be sure to color in the bare aluminum with either a sharpie or black nail polish.

From reading the installation manual it seems like you don't use the daughter eye board is this true?

Sry for all the questions I like to know how a product works and how you install things before I buy it.

But yes, it's very simple to install. And you're one of very few around here that try to understand before they buy it. Normally they buy it then try to understand, and fail because "mY iMps0rz sUx t3h aNuS"

If you do end up getting it. i would suggest buying a couple of eye cables along with the board. It just becomes a big hassle if they break. They are pretty cheap anyways.
