The 98 version has a little bit tricky installation. The A-5 version, on the other hand, is very easy to install.

Check the Tippmann website for instructions. All you have to do is loosen the three screws in the front of the gun. Then you can take out the standard barrel adapter and install the Flatline with its own unique adapter. Just twist the adapter in like the other came out. Tighten the three screws again and it's ready to go. I kind of hard to explain, and that's the best I can do.
