...with two tips and two inserts, which would they be? I think i'm going with 14" AA and 12" Freak front, and .689, .687 inserts. give me your opinion and if you disagree with me tell me why. Thank you. I will add that i only play wood games, with a couple different size fields. Some with thick bush and some with a little more open space.

i would go with the.... 12'' and 10'' tips, stainless back (if you can afford it)... and a .690 inserts (medium bore) ... and a .687 insert (or whatever small bore paint you use).....
10'' would be the one i would use :)

For Smart People! I like it! You'll be one happy guy trust me I know (I've got two of everything you've listed and all the rest too) the only thing I'd do different is, instead of getting the 12 inch teardrop front, I'd get a 10 inch. You've already got the 14 AA so the length/ accuracy/ quiet issues have been covered, The shortness of the 10 will allow you to squeeeeeeeeze in behind those tight little bunkers with alot more ease, while not giving up any accuracy!

there isn't a .690 bore. just .689 or .691. i shoot pmi premium, marbalizers, and diablo blaze once and awile. what i planned on was using the .689 for premium, and .687 for marbalizers. do you think the .691 would be better to go with? .691 and .687, or .687 and .689?

I'd get a 10" and 14" with a .687 and .689 tips. I shoot mostly the same paint you do, and tho the paint/barrel chart says that marbs are small and blaze are the same size I have found that marbs/premiums both seem to be about .689 and blaze is quite small....

With as much as you're paying, you might as well go for one full set. $185 at pbgear.com
Back $63
Freak Front $43
AA Front $43
Insert $22
Insert $22
Total = $193
You're paying more than one full kit. Just choose your favorite tip.

well actually i live in canada and the whole system will cost me like $325-350, and i only use a couple different paints so i don't really need all the inserts. I figure i'm getting 2 barrels. A 14" and whatever other i go with, just the same back.

Im in the same situation as you. I am thinking about buying a freak barrel system, but not the entire kit. right now I am going with a stainless back, and choosing 2 inserts. .689 & .687
I dont shoot different paint, and most of the time stick to the the same type of paint. If not that, then I am probably going to try out a powerlyte speedline barrel and see how that works. right now im using a dye boom stick. but have always been a fan of Smart Parts barrels! I really want to switch back to SP.

woo hoo it actually came in yesterday. it is the sweetest barrel i have ever seen :D . i haven't shot it yet cause i get paid tomorrow, but i tried a couple balls through it and got some bad results. First i tried a couple pmi premiums in the .689 inserts and they went pretty good, one was a little tough blowing out. Next i tries 1 marbalizer (cause they had no bags open and had 1 laying around) and had to use a swab to push it out. It was very hard to push through. This surprized me cause i was told that they were smaller balls then premium and it says that in the paint charts. it could have just been that one ball, but i have some more at home to check when i get it home. Buy a freak. It was even cheaper then i was told.

depending on the batch paint can vary,or if it was stored badly temp wise etc.
i went ahead and blew the $$ on a whole set, i ended up with
a 14" aa front ,standard back (and yes i wanted a stainless)
im so happy i have all the inserts, even the big ones and tiney ones
ive shot ALOT of different paints the last 2 weeks and i would have had a big mess if i didnt have all the inserts
i dont think the freak is as dead on as a boomstick, but the abbility to shoot so many different paints and get decent
accuracy was were i got my $ worth
rps/pmi premium
nitro duck/and nitro ball
nelson anarchy/ nelson "nelsplat"
point blank various
32 degrees team colors and competition
jt maxim
yup some of it was crap but it all almost shot strait!

i prob won't get to use it till sunday, and i live in canada. i ordered through a local guy who got it from badlands in vancover. i got a pretty good deal considering that i talked to badlands and they said it would be $215+tax for what i got and ordered the same thing from the guy here and he charged me only $191+tax. It is in my hand right now, i haven't put it down yet  . but i'll let you know as soon as i get some paint through it. I tried some blaze throught the .689 and it fit perfect so i might shoot that this weekend as well as some pmi premium and marbalizers i have left over.
