eh, almost every BE gun is different guys. Each gun has its own individual problems. Guys, THe main reason for chops are-

#1- Bad paintballs
#2- Bad bolt
#3- plain peice of crap gun
#4-shooting too fast
#5- improper maintenence.

There you go guys. Those are the main reasons that these guns chop, guys.

Are you using a gravity hopper? A revy might help.

Sometimes the ball will break in the crummy stock barrels.

New barrels help a lot.

Yea I have an Avenger I'm wokring on as a project. I cut the stock barrel down to about 5 inches and it decreased a lot of breakage and increased accuracy. I rarely fire fast with it so a Revvy isn't needed, but will Spyder bolts fit it and help a little?

To stop chopping in alot of BE guns, you need to drill a couple of holes in the elbow (if they are not there already), do 2 holes, one on each side of the elbow, but make sure the holes arnt bigger than 1/4". This will allow gas to escape, and stop balls 'bouncing' back up into the elbow.

If you already have done this, and it still chops, try and e-hopper...otherwise i dont think there is much more you can do except a new bolt (if u can find one)

remember a chop is when the bolt breaks the ball before it gets a chance to get chambered.

a break is just in the barrel.

there two different problems that have two different solutions. try to keep em seperate so you wont be wasting time on a problem you dont have....

Well, after having my Avenger for 7 months (too long) I've realized this set of Problems:

Chopping = slow loader

Solution : Buy loader But a new problem arises!

Bad barrel = chopping

Solution a Tiller 14" Barrel, looks pimp and is bore size .690, perfect! But one more thing!

Bad bolt = chops!

Solution : A new bolt! but spyder bolts don't fit! I've tried with my bro's bolt it just doesn't work. So now what?

Brass Eagle = Chopping

^that would be the problem in a nutshell. I'm still trying to progress on my Avenger but I cant mill or paint so I'm stuck at the foregrip. For a beginner gun buy an Imagine 04, And take out the trigger spring, NICE pull few chops.

Nice double post.

Never tried it, but shortening the bolt length might help.

What bolts would fit? I'll post pix of my Avneger that I built as soon as I get my camera back.

If you don't wanna put money into a new barrel, I have a solution that works pretty well. I cut the stock barrel down to about 5 inches and it works much better than the full length stock barrel. Then you can polish the inside to give it a little boost in performance. Here's the instructions:

For this you'll need a drill, a 12 inch rod or stick (cut the bottom piece off a coat hanger), rags, and aluminum polish.

This will make the stock barrel perform much better. Grab your drill and put the stick in. Grab a rag or two and apply a lot of the aluminum polish to them. Next, put the rags over the end of the stick. Grab the barrel and insert the stick, and drill, moving the stick in and out to get the whole length of the barrel. It may get pretty hot because of the friction. 20 minutes should be fine, but if you want to go longer you can. When you finish, wash the barrel out with water. Grab a clean rag and put it on the stick. run the stick through the barrel for a minute to dry it out and get any residue. And presto! A much shinier, accurate stock barrel!

There you go guys. Those are the main reasons that these guns chop, guys.

How to fix these problems:

1 - Buy better paint

2 - Sand and polish the bolt and put on correctly sized O-rings, then buy a spring kit and lower your dwell to create that wonderful suction effect in your breach, F2F4 has a guide that tells you how.

3 - No gun is too far gone if your willing to put in the effort

4 - New hopper

5 - Don't be a newb
