Hi everyone,

I've been reading reviews on the Shocker and they seem to claim that it makes a quiet chuffing sound. After getting one, I was disappointed to discover that it makes quite a noticeable popping noise instead. I'd venture a WAG that it has something to do with timing (though it has a very strong vacuum down the feed tube with the timing set to 1101/000).

So I'm left with a few questions I'm hoping someone could answer:

1) What's the effect of leaving the bolt open longer?
2) What's the effect of leaving the firing piston open longer?
3) What exactly does the distribution ratio distribute?
4) Does the fabled chuffing noise indicate that the marker is operating at peak efficiency?

Thanks everyone!

PS: I'm going to cross post this across other message boards so please don't answer all of them. :)

The chuffing sound happens only when you put paint through your gun not when dry firing. There may also be a timing problem with your gun if you still dont get a chuff...get that checked out.

1. This affects how long the bolt stays open. If your ever chopping balls this might be a problem because the bolt closes faster than the balls can fall.

2. This sets how much air is delivered with each shot.

3. Im not sure what you mean

4. Not necessarily peak, it should chuff when the gun is working lol so if the gun is at peak performance you will get that quiet chuff.

Hope that helped.
